Very quaint

Location was perfect to visit the very tip of door county. Easy to catch ferry to Washington Island or visit Newport State Park for the dark skies. The small fishing village was a great area to slow down and get some distance from the chaos of the trendy nearby towns. Great smoked fish shop and cider tasting near by. The facility had lots to offer, sauna, fire pit, gazebo area for sitting or grilling. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed every moment here. The lake view room was stunning, and the sunset by the lake was absolutely breathtaking — easily one of the highlights of our trip.

A very special thank you to Kristine for her warm hospitality and thoughtful care throughout our stay. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive to all of our needs, and made us feel comfortable right away. She also knows the area very well and gave us wonderful local recommendations that really helped us enjoy Door County even more.

We especially appreciated having a kitchen to cook our own meals, which made the stay feel relaxing and convenient for our family. The location was also excellent — only about 10–15 minutes from the main attractions and very close to the ferry for Washington Island, making day trips super easy.

My parents were especially happy during this stay, and the peaceful lake atmosphere made the whole experience feel cozy, memorable, and special. Highly recommend!

Location,Quaint

The location was great. It is at the top of the Peninsula and away from the congested touristy towns so it was nice and quiet. Close to 1 restaurant and boat tours. Views of the lake. Way over priced for what we paid. I recently stayed in a luxury hotel in Chicago for just slightly more than I paid for this 2 star property. It just happened to be the only the only vacancy we could find for the weekend.

I hate to give a bad review, and maybe we just had a bad room (Spinnaker), but I want to be honest so other travelers know what to expect. Our room was musty and humid our entire stay (three nights). The room was clean enough, but it needed some deep cleaning, and it was pretty worn. It needed paint touch-up’s and a few other projects. We thought since there was a kitchenette and cabinets that there wld be dishes and cutlery, but we only had two small coffee cups, two tiny spoons, and two decaf and regular coffee pods (and we reserved the room for four people for three nights). The pillows and mattresses were pretty lumpy. Also the compound was kind of confusing. We didn’t see any signage for the communal kitchen and sauna, although we didn’t walk around knocking on doors either. I wasn’t expecting anything flash, but it just felt run-down. The photos of the beautiful stone and beam kitchenette must be the communal kitchen that we didn’t see. It’s in a good location if you like the quieter part of DC.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The Commodore room was clean and comfortable. The beds were cozy with nice linens. We appreciated the convenience of the small kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, sink, and mini fridge. We had a charming balcony perfect for drinking coffee. We ate our meals at the little dining table that had a lovely view of the lake. The community room had a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals, interesting books and a fireplace. There is also an outdoor sauna that is perfect for the winter time. We honestly felt so relaxed and peaceful, we did not want to leave. We can't wait to come back!
