Outdated. Exterior needs curb appeal, could be really a draw with landscaping and maintenance.
Location,Quaint
Loved it, except Kangaroos above us seemed to be playing basketball. Very loud!!!
The location was great. It is at the top of the Peninsula and away from the congested touristy towns so it was nice and quiet. Close to 1 restaurant and boat tours. Views of the lake. Way over priced for what we paid. I recently stayed in a luxury hotel in Chicago for just slightly more than I paid for this 2 star property. It just happened to be the only the only vacancy we could find for the weekend.
Property not well kept up. The room reeked of mildew. It was terrible. Beds are very old and well used. We were initially charged for my daughter’s service dog and given attitude when telling the owner it is in fact a medical service dog with a bright pink vest stating service dog.
I hate to give a bad review, and maybe we just had a bad room (Spinnaker), but I want to be honest so other travelers know what to expect. Our room was musty and humid our entire stay (three nights). The room was clean enough, but it needed some deep cleaning, and it was pretty worn. It needed paint touch-up’s and a few other projects. We thought since there was a kitchenette and cabinets that there wld be dishes and cutlery, but we only had two small coffee cups, two tiny spoons, and two decaf and regular coffee pods (and we reserved the room for four people for three nights). The pillows and mattresses were pretty lumpy. Also the compound was kind of confusing. We didn’t see any signage for the communal kitchen and sauna, although we didn’t walk around knocking on doors either. I wasn’t expecting anything flash, but it just felt run-down. The photos of the beautiful stone and beam kitchenette must be the communal kitchen that we didn’t see. It’s in a good location if you like the quieter part of DC.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The Commodore room was clean and comfortable. The beds were cozy with nice linens. We appreciated the convenience of the small kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, sink, and mini fridge. We had a charming balcony perfect for drinking coffee. We ate our meals at the little dining table that had a lovely view of the lake. The community room had a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals, interesting books and a fireplace. There is also an outdoor sauna that is perfect for the winter time. We honestly felt so relaxed and peaceful, we did not want to leave. We can't wait to come back!
I love to stay there again
Peaceful place, needs little bit of better dusting of the rooms.
Row nature in one step )
Everyone had a great time! Sauna was out of order but than that all was great!
We loved the location which is away from the busy towns. We watched the sunset every night from the front lawn. There is lots of outdoor seating and a campfire. We loved using the community room to play games at a big table.
Clean room and linens. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for a girls weekend!
Clean and spacious room. Counter space and cupboards for storage.
Great location. Quaint hotel. Excellent communication and service e.
Floor was dirty.
Bedding didn’t fit the bed well.
Very nice accommodations!
The kitchen, fire pit, and our room.
Broken tiles in the shower.
Fantastic place to stay. We will definitely be back again. Room was clean & comfortable. Had just about everything you would need for your stay right there in the room. The common area with kitchen was fantastic if coming back from fishing late. Only missed a pizza pan but we improvised. Eric the inn keeper was super friendly and helpful! Being right across the street from the launch was great!
