Shabby
Pros:

It was walking distance to the lake and the temple. (The street was eerily dead at night, though.) The breakfast was fine. The waiters at breakfast were nice.

Cons:

I think some of the rooms haven't been maintained at all for the past 20 years. I think the A/C unit was 20 years old, and it did not work very well. I don't think the walls have been painted for 20 years. They were in the process of renovating one of the rooms (so the bed and furniture were in the hallway). Hopefully they will eventually renovate all the rooms.

Lage war sehr zentral. Frühstück war sehr gut. Personal bemüht und freundlich.

Cons:

Man hat kein Fenster im Zimmer. Das „Fenster“ vor dem Bett schaut zum Flur, man muss einen Vorhang zuziehen um Privatsphäre zu haben.

Bon hôtel bien situé dans le centre de Kandy
Pros:

localisation parfaite en centre ville pour aller visiter le temple de la dent et le marché. ils proposent aussi un restaurant de type contemporain. chambre très correcte et bonne literie. Service attentionné. possibilité d'aller visiter le temple de la Dent avant de prendre le petit déjeuner à la carte.

Trouble stay in a old hostel
Pros:

I am sorry to say there is nothing to like in this what called hotel! Actually it is a hostel and I suggest booking.com to check such places to write the right information on booking site. Room door locks are very bad, air-conditioning very old and noisy, room walls are rotten and musty....etc

Location is good.

Cons:

We were very dissatisfied with the accommodation. The room was musty and had no window. It was clearly an old office that had been converted into a room. Two sides of the room were made of glass, covered only with curtains, and next to it was a corridor where people were constantly passing by.
We tried to change rooms, but it was only possible the next day. However, the rooms offered to us were in the same condition. The only reason we didn’t move to another hotel was because it was pouring with rain and we were traveling with a child — but knowing what we know now, that wouldn’t stop us, and we would definitely not stay there again.
Under no circumstances would we choose this hotel again. During our vacation, we had six other accommodations booked, and we did not experience anything like this anywhere else.
Additionally, the TV did not work, and there was no hot water on the first day. The staff tried to help, but we faced language barriers.

Pros:

Dobré umístění, vše v dobré dostupnosti, na pokoji prostorné koupelny s horkou vodou.

Cons:

Pokoje by už potřebovaly údržbu, nejdou poradně dovírat dveře, poteklé stropy a možná i vymalování pokojů by je prosvětlilo.
