The location of the hotel is great, close to the MRT and bus stations; room is clean and the best part is the Breakfast provided every morning, with good variety and fresh cooked food, fresh vege dishes & lots of soft drinks, soy milk and other kinds of drinks/ beverages.

Location is great and the hotel is clean with large beds and nice sized bathroom.
It's a bit of a lucky dip, I have been back to this hotel many times over the years and the experience have been generally great, however, on a previous occasion I had arrived in the room to find it stinking of cigarettes - good thing the hotel was not fully booked so I had a room change immediately.
On my stay this time, the hotel was apparently fully booked the entire period.
I was lucky for the first half of my trip where I was staying many nights, I was on floor 12 in a nice quiet room which had no weird smells.
Upon my return to Taipei for the end of the trip for the last 2 nights before my flight, I was put in room 402 which smelled horribly damp and mouldy. On top of that, it was right next to a building having construction works done so it was loud as hell - I had no prior warning of this and when I called reception to change rooms I was only told the construction works are fully legal and there are no other rooms of my room type I could move into.... thank god it was only 2 nights or I would have lost my mind had I arrived with my jetlag and wanting to sleep during the day and the works started first thing in the morning and continued all day. The works being 'legal' doesn't mean it's ok for you not to warn your customers... no one wants to pay to stay in a room they cannot sleep in...
This hotel is dated and my check in reaction was negative but the place really grew on me. I stayed 4 nights, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the services and room are good, great value for the cost. It is an Asian hotel, very few North American guests, so breakfast is very Asian, which was fine. Location is also very Chinese-Taiwan, not a tourist area, so only 1 in 3 restaurants have English menus and most restaurant workers cannot speak English at all, but again once I accepted this, the experience was positive and memorable.
Dated and next to a freeway, but overall a great hotel for the cost.
