The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! They went out of our way to make our stay memorable. The facility was beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was incredible. The pool with food and bar service was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay and would like to return one day!
The hotel is perfect with everything you might need. Buffet, swimming pool and staff willing to help you any time. I’ve been going to this hotel with family and friends for 12 years now and I have never regretted it!
An elegant traditional stone building matching the surrounding areas! They upgraded us to a suite which was beautiful clean, very comfortable, with a very upgraded shower! The gardens and the pool are next to the sea! The breakfast was served in the stone patio with an amazing selection of pies, cakes, bread, jams, eggs, bacon, coffees and teas. The also had a pool bar with a nice selection of foods and drinks. We love this hotel!
The staff were so kind and helpful. The pool is fantastic with a beautiful view. We were in one of the new rooms at the top and it was ideal for a family with children. Ideally located for exploring the Mani and very good value.
Wonderful hotel! Love that it’s dog friendly too. Breakfast is good, the pool is amazing, parking is easy, and it’s located nicely between other small towns and beaches of interest.
A wonderful hotel with magnificent breakfast in an excellent location.
Beautiful resort retreat. Relaxing and intimate with delicious breakfast. Short drive l to village.
Very Nice Hotel. The suite (which was a nice upgrade) was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the mountains and water. The breakfast buffet was nice. The pool is beautiful. The tile around the pool is very slippery when wet and we had to find our own towels sometimes. There are numerous restaurants nearby. We drove around the Mani Peninsula which was winding and steep. We even ran across some wandering cows and donkeys on the road.
Nice property on the ocean with a great pool area. Limited menu in the restaurant. Lots of parking.
Magnifique emplacement !
Our stay in Porto Vitolo Hotel was just excellent. The most beautiful accommodation in an outstanding setting, right on the bay. On arrival, we were upgraded to a suite, spacious and luxurious. The beds were so very comfortable, the room absolutely spotless and the air conditioning highly efficient . Loved the quality toiletries provided!
The breakfast buffet was very impressive with a great range to choose from.
The staff throughout the hotel were very attentive and helpful, even assisting us with the booking of a taxi for the next day.
Definitely 4star quality. Staff were lovely, pool area was beautiful esp since it overlooked a private beach. Would highly recommend
A beautiful and comfortable room. Breakfast is vast and staff accommodating. Nothing is within an easy walk and we did not have a car. Restaurant was temporarily closed during our stay. However if that were not the case I would have rated higher.
Little Oasis in Mani! Second time staying at this boutique hotel. The grounds and common areas are well kept and tastefully decorated in “typical’ maniote style and color palette. The staff are all very attentive and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and lacking for nothing. The rooms vary from quaint to spectacular and the photos on their website are as presented. First stay was pre-COVID and we had a suite overlooking the pool and sea. Soooooo pretty! On our second stay we had a street view and were worried about noise and visuals but honestly, we couldn’t hear any cars or delivery trucks and the views from our spacious balcony of local stone and stucco homes and structures with their gardens and olive trees were just as serene and lovely! Very tranquil! AC worked great, beds were comfortable. All the pillows were the same in that they were very thick and hard, but after having stayed at other hotels in the area it seems to be the norm! Shower worked great. If I have to find fault, I will mention the lack of hooks on the walls to hang dry clothes or bags of toiletries in the bathroom, but this seems to be a problem (for me) with many hotels today! Breakfast buffet choices are plentiful as there is something for everyone and yes coffee is from a “machine”, but this allows you to choose your preference and again, this service is offered at other hotels in the area as well. The first time we stayed (prior to COVID) the level of music around the pool was deafening and requests to lower the volume were ignored. This time the volume was comfortably low making lounging around the pool very enjoyable. As previously mentioned, all the staff encountered greet you in passing with a smiling hello. The three days we were there, the young woman serving around the pool did triple duty as waitress, bartender and snack provider with a continuous positive disposition notwithstanding the number of people she had to cater to!!! Regardless of her duties, she would take the time to speak to us and tolerated our indecisions about what cocktails to drink while enjoying the sunset (PS her recommendation of her “infamous” Strawberry Mojitos were spot on! Best.Mojitos.Ever!) Lovely that they bring you cold water around the pool the minute you arrive and refill without having to ask. Small but generous gesture! We personally did not find the pool small, of course, when it fills up with children playing water polo etc, it can be cumbersome. It is not Olympic size, but it is large enough to do a few laps and most importantly, cool off.
First time we stayed we had a delicious, reasonably priced (for a touristy area in Greece) supper on the premises. This summer the chef was not available the days we were there, so we aren’t able to comment. Having said that, our plans were to drive to Areopoli for supper every night where there are numerous restaurants. And of course, Faros restaurant in Karavostasi is just a few moments aways with an amazing view by day (you can see the infamous turtles swimming in the bay!) and by night while enjoying phenomenal fresh food.
The location of the hotel is within distance of notable points of interest in the area, however, a mode of transportation is a necessity. The distances aren’t great, but it is very very difficult to try to walk to other spots. We stayed there and drove around Mani (ex Limeni, Gerolimenas, the caves at Diros, Vathia, Mezapos, Cape Tenaron, etc). That may be a lot of driving, but the views are spectacular. Coming back to the hotel to relax by the pool and catch the last sun rays at the end of a long day of touring is always a treat. It should be noted that the beach at the hotel is not really inviting for swimming, if possible, regardless of the amazing view (a clean spacious deck with lounging couches and chairs where you can take it all in!) There are swimmable beaches a short walk away, but when driving around Mani and being drawn to the other Instagrammable worthy beaches, we got our swims in elsewhere.
Finally, there are not enough positive words that can be said about the exceptional front desk staff: Mrs Ioanna and her colleagues! Their appreciation for their guests coupled with the beautiful and well-maintained grounds match the level of service expected of a boutique hotel. We will definitely return!
Relaxed family hotel. The area is a bit strange with a lot of newbuilds but the hotel is very nice for 1 or 2 nights. The town nearby is very nice as well and the taverna o faros down the bay is akso very good. The Pool could be a bit larger for the number of rooms. The view is great and the deck is very nice.
Literie confortable
Petit dej très bien
Porto Vitilo was a welcome surprise in the heat of July, and after a long drive from Kalamata. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with bottles of ice cold water. Immediately after, a porter came around asking if we needed help to get our suitcases up to our rooms. Of course we were happy to take up the offer. Everything in the room was clean, and the air conditioner was running and ready for us.
In the morning we had the most wonderful breakfast! Plenty of cakes, a variety of breads and jams, eggs, sausages, frittatas, quiches, yoghurt, nuts and fruit….enough to keep you fillled for hours. In the evening, they had a dinner menu in the pool area, or, if dinner wasn’t in your plans, you could swim until 8 PM. Of course they brought you cocktails poolside, if that was your wish. In the evening, after the sunset, my daughter and I sat on the comfy couches, facing each the sea and listening to the waves. All in all a very memorable experience.
