Great base to explore south Pelion, and relax.
Pros:

It's worth staying here just for the view. Happily there's more reasons than that though. We spent 3 nights at Lagou Raxi and we all loved it, including my teens. The views from the hotel are spectacular whether you are on your room balcony, eating a meal on the porch or relaxing at the pool. The hotel is like a little oasis. It's 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes walk to a great little town square with a several taverna's. But, perched up on the hill it's so much quieter, calmer and cooler than the beachside spots. The breakfasts were great with tons of choices (and it's included) and the staff are really friendly and attentive. You can't go wrong with this place.

Pros:

We enjoyed our 3 day stay a lot. Although an older hotel, it is full of character, with a lot of things to do and an unforgettable view of the coast. It is located at walking distance from Lafkos village and conveniently for most of the lovely beaches in the area (Platanias, Potistica, Chorto,, etc). Breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Tres beau cadre et quelques imperfections
Pros:

Balcon minuscule séparé par une claie en bois ou l'on voit son voisin à quelques centimètres pas d'intimité pommeau de douche giflant partout lunette de wc avec un axe manquant fenêtre de balcon difficile à ouvrir vue sur le côté sur la mer et les voisins volet de fenetre sans arrêt donc les volets claquent au vent a petit-déjeuner le sel était à la place du poivre et vis versa. Chambre annoncée avec ventilateur mais à 28 degrés cette option unique est un mauvais choix du management. Cadre splendide piscine très bien entretenue vue depuis la piscine paradisiaque jardin soigné avec goût

Έχοντας μεγαλώσει σε οικογένεια που ζούσε εν μέρει από τον τουρισμό θέλω να είμαι θετικός στις κριτικές μου. Όμως το Λαγού Ράχη αποδείχτηκε γενικά μέτριο και σε κάποια σημεία κάτω του μετρίου. Το σημαντικότερο για εμάς που είχαμε μαζί μας 2 μικρά παιδιά ήταν η καθαριότητα. Στο δωμάτιο υπήρχαν πολλά σημεια που δεν είχαν καθαριστεί πολύ καιρό (πχ πάνω από το ψυγείο, οι γωνίες στους τοιχους τα κάγκελα, ο κήπος μπροστά από τη βεραντα) ενώ την τελευταία μέρα μας έστρωσαν σεντόνια με μικρούς μεν αλλά εμφανέστατους λεκέδες οι οποίοι προφανώς δεν γινόταν να βγουν στο πλύσιμο.Στα τραπέζια του πρωινού και όλη τη διάρκεια τα τραπεζομάντηλα δεν άλλαζαν. Η πισίνα ήταν αρκετά βρώμικη και μόλις την 3η ημέρα της διαμονής μας την καθαρίσαν και βέβαια η κατάσταση της βελτιώθηκε σημαντικά. Οι εγκαταστάσεις είναι σχετικά καινούργιες αλλά είναι πρόχειρα συντηρημένες (ξύλινος φράχτης στην πισίνα τον συγκρατεί ένα σύρμα κ.α.) ενώ και το στρώμα του διπλού κρεβατιού που είχαμε χρήζει αντικατάστασης. Στο πρωινό αξίζουν μόνο τα λαχανικά (που είναι μάλλον από τον κήπο τους) τα φρούτα και ότι έχει τυρί φέτα. Πρώτη φορά στη ζωή μου δεν ήπια τον καφέ φίλτρου που προσφέρονταν. Οι χυμοί είναι νερό με λίγο άρωμα πορτοκαλιού. Δεν υπήρχε απλώστρα για τα ρούχα. Στα θετικά το μέγεθος του δωματίου, η ησυχία, οι πολλές πραγματικά προσφερόμενες δραστηριότητες (λίγα αλλά καινούργια και ποιοτικά mountainbikes, γήπεδο τέννις σε καλη κατάσταση, πλούσια και πολύγλωσση βιβλιοθήκη, επιτραπέζια και φυσικα η τοποθεσία

Sue and her team go beyond excellent with their attention to and helpfull friendliness to their guests.
Lagou Raxi is a Luxury Hotel set in a magnificent location for a totally idlyic Greek Holiday Escape at a very reasonable price.
We were sorry we could not stay longer .

Pros:

We loved the fabulous view of the gulf from all rooms in the hotel. The hospitality of the staff and owner was warm and caring. The beauty of the gardens and pool was relaxing and therapeutic. Having a restaurant and bar within the premises meant you could dine in at your desire. The proximity to walking trails and the unique naturalness of the Pelion peninsular was also a plus.
