Overall no issues. Older hotel and it shows sometimes. 2 restaurants on site. 1 offers dinner the second offers breakfast.
No elevator, people with mobility issues would not be able to access their rooms. You will have to carry your luggage upstairs to your room. No AC. During the summer, this may be an issue.
Beautiful room with great garden in the backyard of the hotel. Very friendly staff and great with kids. Nice restaurant and breakfast.
Room quite small. Missing a water cooker.
The property doesn’t have AIR CONDITIONER! It took me 1/2 to talk to the manager that said “I am only taking to you so you understand that I don’t have to say that we don’t have air conditioner in the announcement” I was melting and I am from the Caribbean. No one in the line behind me knew ether. We lost the knight and leave. This is the first tine that through booking something like this happened to me.
The property was old but nice. The situation that was no air conditioner in a very HOT SUMMER was a deal breaker. Impossible to sleep there or rest
Clean, great sized rooms, friendly, proffesional staff
Nothing not to like, my only gripe was the smoked haddock portion size for breakfast was rather ‘ahem’ small
Room and breakfast great as always. Excellent location just outside main city.
The only problem we encountered, and we have stayed here many times, was the bed in our room. It was very low and not all that comfortable. We have always previously found the beds here very comfortable and have slept really well. Not so much this time. A bit style over substance.
Extremely helpful and friendly , good location and good value
Location , large room
Bath and shower
Limited parking - having to double park
Evening meal not best - breakfast was ok
The friendly staff, free parking, the excellent breakfast and the reasonably priced restaurant in the evening.
Carrying the cases uostairs and through the building.
We like the location due to its proximity to the relative we came to visit. We also like that parking is available. The rooms are a good size and that staff really friendly. We also liked the little bar. We didn’t have breakfast on this occasion but have had it on a previous stay and the food was really good
The bathroom could do with a refresh and the shower wasn’t very powerful. It would also have been helpful to have a fridge in the room.
Had character, and friendly
Nothing
Location
The pillows were not comfortable way too thin
Very friendly staff. The food in the restaurant and breakfast was excellent.
Many of the carpets were grubby especially the stair carpet from the bar to reception.
Had free parking albeit busy as allows for cruise parking. Bar and restaurant albeit didn't use either. Good price for city hotel
Google maps was confusing as took you down a side street when actually on the main road
The staff were very kind and helpful
The prize for breakfast thought it was a bit dear
