This is the perfect, real China experience. Very nice staff, speaks only Chinese, and is very charming like people used to live in the old part of Beijing.
It was really great. There is nothing to complain about. I was happy.
Fantastic location! Staff were very helpful and attentive.
Beds were quite hard.
Very small and basic rooms, it was very cold inside.
Location was excellent with lots of food places, shops and a beautiful lake nearby - we really enjoyed staying in the hutong. Our room was comfortable and perfect for our family and the staff were lovely and friendly.
Accoglienza e location perfette
The location was great! Super friendly and helpful staff as well!
We had 5 people in my room (2 kids) and didn’t have enough blankets but that was our fault.
Great place if you're looking for a stay in an authentic old Beijing neighbourhood and in a place that is walkable (which isn't generally the case in many places in Beijing) - with the Qianhai area being accessible by foot. Clean and well-maintained for an old Siheyuan-type stay, with friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing we didn't like - but with it being a Siheyuan rooms aren't very noise-proof and not very large either. Overall one of the nicest Siheyuan-type stays we've had, though
So bad for the amount I paid
Everything
I loved the traditional look of the hotel and the location right in the heart of the hutongs. Although it was a bit hard to find, there's a map of the hutongs at Shichahai C Exit which makes it easier to find it.
The receptionist lady was extremely nice and she made her best to communicate even though she can't speak English. Also in case you would like to dress up they have nice traditional dresses.
The location
The mattress was really uncomfortable, like sleeping on the floor
