Petit hôtel sympa, familial, avec petit déjeuner inclus.
Great family studio. Felt like home. We arrived late and the hosts were very accommodating. Great place to stay
Check in rapido e personale molto disponibile.
As a gay couple traveling in a remote part of Iceland, we really appreciated seeing the rainbow flag flying when we drove up (Gay Pride week having just ended). The manager was friendly and professional, and the food was very good. While the accommodations were basic, everything was well-kept, and the prices were fair, while we’ve found much in Iceland to be quite expensive. Takk fyrir!
A nice stay at a nice little hotel with good service and good food.
We booked through Expedia and even the charges were on Credit Card. When we got there they said we didn’t book and there was no room for us.
The hotel was a very convenient stay for us as we were passing through the area to see a nearby sight. Check in was very easy and the room was very clean. However, we did notice that the showers did not drain well and the towels were quite rough. Otherwise, the stay was excellent and comfortable! We really enjoyed breakfast and the coffee machine! I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area!
Nice, clean hotel by the beach with a restaurant. Great customer service as well!
Small hotel near the water. Hotel resturant food was good as well.
Vopnafjordur is charming. The local museum presents its unique history points - emigration to America and its 2 favorite sons Jonas Arnason & Jon Mula. The view of te fish processing plant is not great but the unspoiled nature all around is wonderful. We had it all to ourselves the first night.
Room was adequate and clean. Not a fan of the shared bathroom but it was clean as well. Location was convenient, close to gas and food options, very quiet with nice views and the breakfast selection was enjoyable. Not so sure we would choose this location as a stop for a return visit to Iceland.
Booked this hotel as an overnight stop. Reached the hotel around 3+pm, and the hotel doors were locked. Turns out the hotel staff (or owner?) was out on an errand run. Thankfully we had a local cell to call for the staff to open the doors.
Room was more like a hostel and with bare minimums and an in-room sink. Toilet was shared (only 4 of the rooms came with private bathroom and they were located on the first floor).
Village was tiny, nothing to see. Hotel was clean enough but expensive and the room was tiny. Bathroom was like a small closet. Room TV didn't work. Decent sitting room with TV, free wifi, breakfast was OK...nothing special. If you're planning a trip around Iceland just skip this village. Male innkeeper was pleasant.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast included was basic but very tasty. I found the hotel staff to be a somewhat rude (got yelled at for making a sandwich in a common area of the building after the kitchen had closed), but they run a nice facility.
