A beautiful Cretan property - it is traditional, has charming architecture: stone walls, wood features, antique & rustic touches, it benefits from high ceilings, and has a romantic feel and situated in Old Hersonissos -the breakfast is very much a strong point — it’s very traditional, fresh, good variety, made well. We really appreciated the care put into it. The owners are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which provides a warm, personal stay rather than a “just business” hotel. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, with comfortable beds.

If I had to summarise: Casa Di Veneto is a great choice for travelers who value charm, authenticity, a quiet and picturesque stay, good service, and decent comfort over flashy luxury or beach-front amenities. It’s especially nice for couples or travelers who want to get off the beaten path a bit and enjoy local flavour.

Ovo je zaista poseban doživljaj. Predivna soba, kombinacija luksuza i seoskog autentičnog načina života na Kreti. Divni domaćini, ukusan doručak, lokacija u starom gradu, a ipak mirno.

Cons:

Dostupan je javni parking, ne plaća se.. ali ako dođete kasno je malo izazovnije naći mjesto.
Ali unatoč tome, isplati se iskusiti ovo izvanredno mjesto. Nije zamjerka.

The location is wonderful, but what truly makes it special are the people who manage it – Mrs. Rena and Mr. Giannis, the owners. We stayed here last year and returned with great pleasure this year as well. We really connect with both the place and the island. The interior décor has a unique vintage charm that perfectly matches the spirit of Crete – its time, culture, and civilization.

The breakfast is truly exceptional and makes your day! For me, it is a five-star experience: served at the table, always a treat, with delicious pies prepared by Mrs. Rena and daily delightful surprises from her Greek kitchen. Heartfelt thanks!
