Stavros Tou Notou

Stavros Tou Notou became for us through the years our second home ..! Soon it’s going to be 20 years that we come at this beautiful and magic place . First of all the emplacement is just perfect - it’s in the beginning of the long beach , so you are not squeezed and there a lot of space on the sand . The sea is just next to the hotel , if you have little children you may use beautiful swimming pool as a choice . At the restaurant of the hotel you may taste a traditional greek cuisine . If you have food preferences you may ask for a special meal, if they can they will prepare for you easily. The rooms are well equipped and the view give to the beautiful sea .
But the biggest treasure is the kindness and attentive attitude of the family owners ! In this place you can relax , you are well served, be sure it will totally renew your immunity system !! We recommend it to the family, to the couple in search of discretion and peaceful place , but also to the solo travellers !

Perfect location right across from the beach, right at the end of the beach. Beautiful traditionally designed to match Mani's architectural style. Family-owned, which adds extra care to the whole management and customer service. All the staff are very polite and eager to please the customers. Excellent service overall. Spacious rooms, good breakfast buffet, excellent food in general.
Highly recommended for a quiet holiday with everything one may need.

We booked a studio room which unfortunately was not available upon arrival due to plumbing problems and the very friendly owner did her utmost to find us an satisfactory alternative in a nearby bungalow park. She arranged this for us, brought us there and let us have access to her pool and beach chairs, provided us a free dinner and breakfast and was ever so friendly. She told us she really wanted us to be happy and managed to accomplish just that!

Nice rooms, a bit dated but acceptably (not perfectly) maintained, decent breakfast, ok small/moderately sized pool sometimes does not have enough chairs in shade as non-guest visitors allowed, 10-15 parking spots in premises, ample parking out front, ok beach. Nearby Gytheio worth a visit.

Cute beach hotel at the very end of Marovouni Beach. Ample parking. Like most hotels in Greece, breakfast is included in your room rate. The hotel is located right on the beach-- a simple walk across the beach road. They have an area with lounge chairs and umbrellas and service is available for snacks and drinks. We stayed in a traditional tower room as a family of 4 (including 2 teen daughters). We had 2 bathrooms. The girls slept in a daybed and cot pushed together in the corner of the room which while adequate, did use up the available "lounging area" of the room. (However, finding a hotel room for 4 in Greece proved to be a rare find.) We had a lovely private balcony.

The hotel is situated next to a beautiful and large beach and it also has a swimming pool suitable for kids as well. The rooms are large and comfortable and very clean! the restaurant offers home cooked quality meals in normal prices and there is also a pool bar which offers tasty snacks.
Mrs Zeta is the most hospitable person I have ever met and sees that everyone has everything they need to enjoy vacation!
The hotel is quiet and family friendly but this doesn't mean it is not suitable for travelers without kids.
We had a perfect and relaxing time there and looking forward to next years' vacation!

Mrs. Zettas property is located just a minutes walk away from the beach. It offers a relaxing, serene atmosphere with beautiful, clean rooms and a nice selection of breakfast choices. What makes this place special is Mrs.Zetta herself as well as her staff. Incredibly friendly service, with a very positive vibe. She and her crew have mastered the meaning of Greek hospitality- effortlessly and genuinely. They have a wonderful way of making you feel welcome and my family and I will definitely be revisiting!

We had to attend a special event of a friend in Mavrobouni, close to Gytheio. The friend there booked our room for us and proved an excellent choice. It is located at the far end of a wide beach of about 7km long, just the other side of the road of the entrance of the hotel. The swimming pool of the hotel and the bar around, is suitable for a relaxed morning or afternoon coffee or a cocktail later in the night. Swimming pool was safe for children. Rooms were totally friendly with all needed, even with a complete kitchen to cook a light lunch. Restaurant was extremely affordable for the quality. Breakfast of 4 star hotel with emphasis on the local marmalade and honey.

My wife and I were at Zeta's place at the end of October. Unfortunately we stayed only 4 days as we had some other plans to do. We enjoyed Sun rises and Sun sets on the terace on the top "Orange" side. We had a first coffe on the terace and then we get down to pool for a breakfast. We really enjoyed there all 4 days. Place is extremely clean, silent and friendly. Weather was nice my wife enjoyed swimming and Sun bath I was driving around and taking photos. We loved it very much.

We stayed for nearly 3 weeks at Stavros Tou Notou and had a really great time. It is a beautiful and calm place with very friendly and helpful staff. We chose Gythio because from there we could visit everything between Mani, Sparta/Mystras and Monemvasia. Having a car is very desirable.

The hotel has very nice individually furnished rooms where we had everything we needed. The furniture is selected with lots of attention to detail. The appartements are built up the hill. Yes, there are lots of stairs (approx. the height of 3 storeys, there are also rooms with just a few steps to the entrance) - we didn't mind, and neither did our little daugher eagerly running up and down. Being in one of the towers at the upper end of the hotel, we had a great view over Mavrovouni Beach and to the Mani peninsula. The beach itself is directly in front of the hotel. The water is clean and clear.

Service was flawless and very friendly. Every morning we enjoyed a great breakfast with fresh vegetables, fruits, Feta, olive oil and everything else one can imagine. The hotel also has a very comfortable and well kept garden.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. A supermarket is approx. 1km away.

We came here as a group for a course. It was work combined with a lot of pleasure due to the location and the friendly staff. I would highly recomend it for a holiday for weeks or as a great place for a course.

I stayed in "Stavros tou Notou" hotel 10 days this summer and all I can say is that the people working in the hotel did everything they could to serve our needs. Kind, polite, willing to help and listen to every request we had. Would definitely like to visit again. Great place especially for families and Kids.

I decided to visit Gytheion during September to see what it was like as my previous visits in the summer were plagued by extensive heat and to many visitors, so I looked around for a reasonably priced Hotel.
This was an easy task, decided to stay at Stavros tou Notou .
The selection was spot on in every aspect,the Hotel is new and the room we stayed in was better than expected spotless well designed and furnished, bed was great!
Bathroom was nice and was cleaned daily as new!
Air conditioning worked very well .
Breakfast was decent selection.
Hotel is situated close to seafront and the sandy beach was clean with free deck chairs and ombrella ,purchase of refreshments or coffee was not mandatory but at their cheap prices was affordable.
A must visit is close buy Areopolis especially during the evening with a wide variety of restaurants and bars ,you have to see this place it's a must.
Also caves of Diros.

The complex is great for families with kids as they blend and create a big party!The apartments are big, clean with balcony and sea view.The beach is large and they offer sunbeds to the residents.Though we were very disappointed with the very low quality of the breakfast, with prefabricated omelettes,moderate coffee, etc.If they improve their breakfast, it would be a great case!

By traveling around the World,visiting very expensive hotels and a restaurants as a wife of Ambassador,I realized,only here, in this Hotel, that something what I felt missing in them,I have gotten in Stavros Tou Notou.. - It's a beautiful Family atmosphere.Of cause,it depends,what is everyone are looking for!!! :))) Peace and quite,or loud discotheques and bars..I like it very much,that all staff,working here, are not like a robots,smiling,because,they were taught so..they smile from their hearts and willing to help and do everything to please you..I like and bees and cats,it's part of Nature and we must respect them..redundant to say,that Bees are dying,disappearing from the Planet,it means,we will be the next..So,Mrs.Zeta,owner of Hotel,supporting them,by planting beautiful flowers and trees..
Sometimes my friends asking me why I am going every year,for already 10 years to the same place?..because I love it and I am very THANKFUL to Mrs.Zeta for her great help and support,when my husband got sick.Her gentle smile and best manners gives the difference to this place.
Some advise to people,who are looking for relaxation and silence,best time to come,as for me, it's May,June and September,October.
About the food.. from the time I am a Vegan,I really don't care so much about grand cuisine cooking,it must be fresh vegetable and fruit,which is always on the table.Good thing,that You can order something You like and it will be done.We are eating at "Saga" Tavern also and they are the best..as for me..

This time I visited STAVROS TOU NOTOU with my boyfriend. I must say that he is very experienced tourist and likes to spend his vacation in confort of a high level. As myself, he fell in love with this hotel. It was a really relaxing vacation with perfect service and a amazing food! The good thing about it is that in this hotel you feel like at home, but know that somebody is taking a great care about you! Plus you may do lot's of activities in the sea: like surfing & diving. Such a clean sea you will not find easily!We will certanly come back there!

I'm coming back to this wonderful hotel for about 10 years already and twice a year! The most important treasure is the owner, Kiria Zetta , who creates such a unique atmosphere that all guests feels so confortable. They may be a friends, young or older couple, family with pets, businessmen who comes for a congress ... Everybody will spend an amazing time there. First of all because each maisonette was build in a such a way that you will not see your neighbors, but you will have a great view on the sea instead. Second, the service is really perfect. On your demand you will have any kind of healthy food with local products, prepared specially for you by great cook Maria ! You can rent a car right from the hotel . Or you can run bicycle to explore beautiful views or go shopping. All rooms are clean and confortable and the sea is next to you 50 m. A confortable bus will bring you from the airport in 3-4 hours. Once visited STAVROS TOU NOTOU you will be back!
