Travelers beware. All the sheets and pillows have stains on it, the bathroom floor was wet upon entry, and it seemed like something was leaking. The room is general was old and not so clean. Our check-in process was not good, the manager tried two difference credit cards and the machine won’t work, so ended up asking to get on their WiFi so we can book through Expedia. The manager was hesitant because he said Expedia charges a commission. There doesn't seem to be another option, and after booking online, he was hesitant in giving us the room even with our confirmation number.
The music in the garden was incredibly loud, it seems like there was a party going on, so we asked front desk when it will go until. They said probably 3AM and that all the rooms can hear music, so we wouldn't be able to switch to a room further away from the music. We have a flight to catch at 6AM the next day.
Would not recommend this hotel at all.
Staff are great, the mininhat wasn't working, nothing really in the hotel rather than sleeping and breakfast, the location is wonderful
I have been staying at the mosaic and they have tried to maintain the standard, but something needs to be done for the breakfast
Front desk couldn't find reservation and internet was down so couldn't even look me up!!! Arrived in Addis at 1am and they had already closed the doors so had to knock several times. Whole experiment was bad for a 4 star hotel!!!
I stayed at this hotel because it was close to our office. I checked out early because I had to go another office location in Ethiopia. I am still trying to get a refund from the hotel almost a month later. The owner kept saying she need to talk to Finance to get me a refund and that still has not happened despite several trips to the hotel. I will not be staying there again.
The road to the hotel muddy and difficult to drive and walk to the hotel
A very comfortable hotel, close to the Airport in Bole with easy access to restaurants, shops etc. The staff are accommodating and very helpful.
I would recommend this Hotel for anyone doing business in Addis Ababa.
I was only there for 3 nights, but will certainly consider the Mosaic on my next trip to Ethiopia.
It was ok except that their 'queen size bed' is actually 2 single beds put together horizontally, so there's a gap right where one's backside is that slowly gets bigger throughout the night. Terrible! Also there were no towels in the room (which I only found out when I got out of the shower) and breakfast is pretty average
I travel to Ethiopia on a regular basis, this hotel is where I send first timers. The area around the hotel is the best developed in Addis Ababa
Booked a junior suite (king bed and jacuzzi) and was given a normal room. After trying to explain the booking I was shown three different rooms and finally just settled on the same room with a king bed. I was told, the description of the junior suite on hotels.com was incorrect. Breakfast buffet was cold two mornings in a row and generally whenever the hotel hosted events (twice during my stay) the kitchen was overwhelmed and you could not order anything. Some of the staff were great but not enough to make up for the general lack of effort.
I am surprised the hotel has a four star rating. If the rating was more reflective of the facilities, I believe that I would not have been as disappointed. The rooms do not have air conditioning. Initially, we were assigned a very small room. However, when we inquired, the hotel happily and quickly upgraded to larger room free of charge. The T.V. was extremely small and the condiments were limited. The shower rod was hanging from the wall and the bathroom was extremely small. Also, almost every day, the hotel hosted a lunch and/or event which involved music which was played loudly from lunch time until evening. It was difficult to locate the hotel and due to construction, entry and exit were challenging. However, the staff was wonderful. They were very friendly and accommodating, the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning staff.
Nice, clean hotel for your stay in Addis. The meals were excellent, and it was obvious the chef took pride in his work.
Pleasant as usual
The hotel is one year old (and that's why I chose it), but it looks much older. it is located in the middle of construction sites and even the entrance is littered with stones. The main problem was lack of internet connection. The manager said it is a national problem, but I found out that other near-by hotels did not have the same problem. The TV has only two channels and some of the time had no signal. I had a water leak from the bathtub and it was not fixed despite the good will. The breakfast was very poor, but at least I enjoyed the sunshine in the garden. the staff was nice.
Good staff central location yet quiet just far enough from the street to get some good sleep
Nice hotel with garden
Pleasant
Very nice, but the price for food is almost double the cost of the price outside, which I guess comes with the 4 star badge
Clean New Hotel in the bole edna mall area, excellent value & quality in Addis Ababa standards
