Lovely location
Would be better with evening entertainment/ more food options
Old fashioned, cozy, comfortable. Soft beds, warm rooms, windows you can open and an excellent breakfast
Garden looked nice
Room very hot and bed linen smelt musty, when checked in no explanation of what time breakfast was served or where it was served, toilet didn’t flush properly
Hotel was spotless, country side location, Views, grounds, had restrauant, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Room 25 is a ground floor bedroom any everything was 100%. The food quality was 1st class and plates were filled to maximum. Staff were all good and eager to please and the grounds are superb, just right for wedding receptions. Will stay again.
Nothing to dislike except the rain.
Quiet location. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff great.
The new owners are very nice and polite. Their talking in very loud voices in an unknown language (NOT welsh) could be improved but these are all teething troubles and can be ironed out. Staff were very friendly and approachable, professional and smart. We have been many times before under different owners. The menu has vastly improved and food was well cooked, very plentiful and tasted great. Spacious rooms and immaculately clean. Plentiful parking. Very good WiFi.
Breakfast was not ready at 7am on any of the days we stayed. That needs improvement. Some would not mind but we needed to be out of the hotel very early.
Very poor
Yogurts out of date, only flavoured variety, only cornflakes and coco pops in dispenser, ie no muesli,
Coffee good and there was good multi grain bread available.Staff very good
As above
As the owners have not been there that long, we felt the hotel was very disorganised . Hopefully the hotel will improve.
Breakfast was not good they kept running out of food and plates at breakfast, so you had to wait, and when food came it seemed rushed, like a fresh loaf of bread which was frozen, and when food came it was in small amounts, felt sorry for the guy doing it.
The quiet and solitude
The gurgling radiators with air in them and the constant flashing Xmas lights
