Had a great stay, but when I asked to call a Taxi to the airport, the lady at the desk asked us if it was ok to wait 20min for it. We said ok, but then we found out that she just called a regular car (!) and asked us for 300 baht (after we had already waited for 20 min). Just for comparison, we paid 150 baht from the airport to the hotel, on an official airport taxi. We felt completely scammed. The lady that was driving the car accepted to take us for 150 baht, but to be honest, I would rather have called a Grab (the same as Uber here).
Really nice and small hotel. Specious and clean room. Good size bathroom. Daily towel service. A bit noisy with other guests going up and down the stairs. Balcony is a bonus. Trips available at reception but slightly more expensive than tour operators in Old Town. Owner gave me a lift back to the airport for the taxi price as getting a taxi was difficult. Pre-order it before. Breakfast can be order and it was a nice meal. 10-15 min walk to the Old Town gate. Big pollution in the city. Face masks adviced.
The room is big and comfortable. Staffs are so freindly and helpful. Ther is a kitchen for cooking and also free bike that you can travel around that area. Thr price is reasonable This place also nearby the good restaurants
We were a family of four on the fourth floor. We stayed three nights and were in room nine with no balcony. I just saw the picture. That would have been nice and made it four stars. The people here are super nice they get five stars. The coffee is free but Nescafé. Two stars for that. If you want brewed coffee you’ll have to go out for it. The place is clean and management helpful. We were on the top floor with no lift but that didn’t bother us at all. Think if it as a mini work out.
There is no safe but we have locks on our bags which we used. I don’t think they were necessary but better safe than sorry. And someone could have just taken the whole bag.
The sink was cold water only and the shower was the Insta hot variety.
The location is pretty far from the main attractions but we used the tuk tuks just fine as well as Uber. Uber was cheaper.
We used the laundry service but had two white shirts come back pink so beware of that. The clothes were folded nicely and it was a 24 hour turn around.
All and all affordable, clean with nice people.
O quarto era confortável, mas as vezes que precisamos, não havia ninguém na recepção e mesmo chegando ao hotel no horário de check in, tivemos que esperar mais de uma hora para podermos entrar no quarto,
pois estava sendo limpo.
Good location, a little walk to main city.
Lovely room, very clean apart from fridge which had someone else's frozen prawns in freezer section.
Very helpful staff, card machine wasn't working.
I'm my opinion slightly overpriced for just outside city.
Comfy king bed and the balcony is a plus for smoking. The kitchen is convenient. Try not to get the room on the left on the 4th floor..there is a hang out area up above and you will hear people sliding around chairs at night. WiFi is strong, too- a must.
good welcome staff, clean room and spacious for small hotel.
I am truly impressed by the hotel. It's a modern architecture and nice and good sized rooms. It's around 1.5 ins from the main sights and a bit away but the advantage is it's on the way to Mae rim where you have a lot of sights to do. The hotel staff are very friendly but they don't speak very good English.
The only sad part is though they agreed for early check in during booking they did not respect that when we moved in.
Lovely hotel cum guest house. My daughter came out to Chiang Mai to study various Thai Massage courses and after 3 weeks I went out to join her. We were in room 2 which was very nice - 2 single beds, bedside tables with lights above, wardrobe hanging space and shelves for clothes; fridge; kettle with tea/coffee; fresh water daily etc. The bathroom had shower (water not very hot); whb (no plug!); and loo. Room cleaned daily if you wanted. Recommend take extra toilet paper with you and being poor quality compared to UK, runs out very quickly! You could have breakfast cooked for you if required but we opted for the self service kitchen where we prepared our own food. We either did the same for lunch/dinner or ate out. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel - tucked away in a side street so nice and quiet.
I really enjoy staying in NOW Chiang Mai.
-The decoration of the hostel is nice and delicate.
-The room is clean and big as well as the common areas are very comfy.
-All furniture and electrical appliances look new and well functioned.
-It is convenient to go to the old city by walking (~10mins) and also easy to get on Rot Daeng there.
- The staff are kind and helpful.
I stayed here while I searched for an apartment around the city. Yes, the location is down from Chang Phuak Gate and a little quiet, but that was perfect for me. The space is decorated so nicely and the kitchen space was so nice to have. It was VERY clean, and the owners were so kind. They even drove me to my new apartment when I moved out. I felt right at home. I would totally recommend this guesthouse for anyone who doesn't mind staying outside the center of the action!
We rented a triple room for 4 night stay. The room was great and is very spacious. It is very quiet since it's not around the old city area. But it's not that far to the main area. It only took around 10 min ride by songthaew or tuktuk. The host has been excellent and extremely nice. We have booked through all the tours and even rented a scooter through her. Gave us a lot of information regarding the tours and even provide discounted price for us. Wifi is excellent and bicycle is free to ride. Big thumbs up!
Hotel has only 8 rooms, by my recolection.. and the best ones are on top. Thats when steps come into considerations - top floor (3) and there is no lift. Take that into consideration if you not traveling lightly and claiming stairs causes a bit issue for you. The other thing to consider, there is no safety deposit box in the room. During my trip I did feel safe and secure, but felt bit uneasy leaving my passport and other valuables in the room.Staff is very friendly and helpful, and ground floor offer lovely garden sitting area and big community kitchen with free coffee, tea, fruit and snack. Rooms are nice and big, clean and very comfortable.
Delightful little jewel in Chiang Mai, with lovely rooms featuring private balconies and city and mountain views. No tea and coffee in the room but a gorgeous communal kitchen downstairs where you can make your own anytime. Very clean with the softest sheets ever!
Although small, Now Hotel has a lot to offer. This was our best stay of our trip. The staff were very attentive and assured we were well looked after. They've helped us arrange fantastic tours at great prices. The hotel decor is modern and everything is new (and works as intended). It was a home away from home. Not often do you find a hotel that looks just like it does in the photos. Location was also a plus, as it is just outside the Old City, so noise was never an issue. We would definitely stay at Now again for any future visits to Chiang Mai.
We stayed our last two nights in Chiangmai in a triple room. It was the perfect size for 3 adults.
The room was clean and the design was really nice and modern.
The check in was really fast, and the staff was really warm and courteous.
Their english is decent, it was sometimes difficult to communicate but they were helpful anyway.
The guesthouse has only 8 rooms and we were on the 1st floor, in the morning we could here some construction or our upstairs neighbours, it didn't really bother me but for anyone sensitive to noise, try to ask for a higher floor.
Bicycles are avalaible, which is nice since the hotel is quite far from Chiangmai's main attractions.
We had some troubles guiding drivers to the guesthouse, for reference ask them to drive you to the Changphuak bus station which is really near (there's also a 7-11 there).
Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
We recently stayed at Now Chiang Mai for 10 nights. It was the perfect experience for what we were looking for. Close to the "old town" square (5-10 minute walk to the north gate), but still in a local neighborhood without a lot of tourists. It's a brand new hotel, which means it's spotless, and the design is so modern and cool. We are working while traveling and spent a lot of time in the shared work space/kitchen. We even cooked dinner a couple of nights which was a nice break from going out. The hotel has bikes too so one night we rode to the movie theater. Beds are incredibly comfortable (linens are soooo soft), air conditioning works great and wifi is strong. Really, wouldn't change a thing.
