Mr & Mrs Green
Pros:

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding at White Rocks Kefalonia, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed.

The hotel itself is stunning. The facilities are beautifully maintained, the sea front bungalow was comfortable and elegant, and the beachfront location creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway.

Thank you to everyone at White Rocks for giving us memories we'll cherish for a lifetime. We can't wait to come back, not just as newlyweds, but as returning guests to a place that will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Try somewhere else
Pros:

Pretty setting, beautifully kept and spotless hotel - this is the hotels best point.
Standard room was road facing (so very dark and zero view from balcony) it was, however, kept spotless.
Half board - unimpressed. No fresh omelette station and a lot of tinned fruit at breakfast (alongside fresh cut melon). Cooked breakfast tasteless, as were pastries and precooked pancakes. Evening meal very hit and miss - mostly dull and, again, lacking imagination and taste. Prices were terrible - 18 euro for Greek salad at lunchtime . 7 euro for small beer. 6 for wine. Often guests had issues with flat coke and beer. Staff in restaurant made little effort to genuinely engage guests. Olga in the a la carte bar and the reception team were the only staff members who stood out positively. Some wait staff were even chewing whilst working on more than one occasion. Resort centre/Argostoli bars/restaurants much cheaper and more taste. Dine around is an option but gets you just 10 euro each discount off the menu prices - nothing under 20 per person euro for lunch.
Location just outside the main resort - we knew this when booking. They have a gate you exit the hotel then down 54 steps but you do have to still walk along the road - very dangerous as there is no pavement along a section of the road. Grounds are hilly and hotel beach can be slippy underfoot - one guest had a nasty fall whilst we were there.

Would return to lassi but not this hotel.

Wonderful Web-site but not quite as good in reality.
Pros:

Quite a nice expensive place but not what we expected. We stayed in a sea-front bungalow, but bungalow is not the correct description as bungalows do not have other units on top of one another. All rather crowded and I would call them “units”, although the fit-out is excellent but the veranda was poky. Service of the unit was excellent.
Breakfast was nothing to write home about, not fresh fruit but tinned and everything seemed rushed. The egg man struggled to keep up with demand so they suddenly rushed out pre-cooked from the kitchen which were rather rubbery.
Went to the Ala carte twice restaurant , very nice but expensive, especially the wine. Our recommendation would be to go into Lassi where there are numerous restaurants that are very nice and much cheaper. The steps and inclines throughout the property would be difficult for older people. Staff were excellent throughout our stay.
The web-site looks wonderful but the reality was not as good.

White rocks is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is super friendly and will answer any question you have! The resort feels like a sanctuary quiet and tranquil from the beach to the pool to the restaurants. We love our stay here and hope to be back!

Absolutely Top Class Hotel 5*
Pros:

Having just returned from 9 days at the White Rocks, here is a summary of our stay.

The hotel itself and grounds are immaculate. The staff clearly work hard to keep the place looking sharp. It’s a lovely resort indeed. Modern and fresh!

A lovely welcome by the receptionists with a cold towel and refreshing drink. That was a great start. Luggage carried to the room by the Porter too!

We were Half Board and as a fussy eater I have to say the food (both Breakfast and buffet Dinner) were excellent. Really Good!
It was fresh, Tasty and had a very varied choice without being too big like some hotels. The quality of the Food was also very high. Fresh Salads, Grilled Meats, Vegetables and lovely desserts aswell. Literally Something for everyone!
All the staff in the buffet restaurant were friendly, courteous and prompt. No complaints whatsoever with the food.

If you don’t want dinner at the hotel they offer you a €10 credit (per person) on other food outlets per person per day but must be used on the day. This is a great option as it’s nice to head out to a local taverna for dinner on a couple of occasions and maybe have lunch by the pool instead. Our only gripe with this is that the food and drink by the pool is expensive. So for example by not having a 3 course dinner each we had €20 credit. A Pepperoni Pizza by the pool is €21 so it doesn’t even cover a Pizza between 2 people. I think €15 would be a “Fairer” amount. (So you could share a pizza and chips for example). That would be more representative in the loss of 2x3 course meals. For context, Chicken Nuggets are -€19…… (Crazy!)

The rooms themselves are lovely, loads of storage and has pretty much every amenity you could desire. Leave your shampoo and shower gel at home as the one here is a local very nice big bottle of each. Rooms have mini fridge, Kettle with Tea/Coffee too.
Only feedback (of a personal preference) is for such a good quality hotel would be maybe a small nespresso machine in the rooms like other hotels of a similar category! Just a thought for the future as this would make a lovely start to the day!

A shoutout to housekeeping aswell.
Room was cleaned very promptly each day and freshened up with replacement towels, amenities etc.

The Pool area is lovely, plenty of sunbeds and bean bags and an abundance of towels. You won’t struggle to find anywhere to relax. Each bed has a call button and within a few minutes the waitress will be with you taking a drink/lunch order. They are all very friendly /helpful too! (Especially Luisa)

I did feel that the drinks were on the expensive side to be honest. (An Aperol Spritz is €15.)
I Appreciate it’s a hotel but everywhere else in Lassi an Aperol is €8. So maybe in a hotel €11/12 would be fair . Also a small “Mr Whippy” style ice cream is €8. This is way too much in my opinion. Should be half this!
It’s a shame as we kept walking down to the beach which is only a 5/6 minute walk and having ice cream/drinks etc down there (All half price compared to the hotel)

Also as mentioned numerous times before but just to reiterate. This hotel is not suitable unless you are happy to do quite a lot of walking. It’s spread out over the side of a cliff. There is a lot of steps and it’s pretty steep if you want to walk down to the sea.
Not a problem for us as we like walking but just be aware! The views are spectacular from the public areas and sea view facing rooms though!

The sea is absolutely gorgeous! Warm and Crystal Clear! Pack a snorkel and mask for sure and as others have said beach shoes would be helpful but not essential.

It’s only about a 10 minute walk from the hotel into Lassi where there are numerous restaurants and bars. You can exit the hotel via the side gate to the public beach and then walk up the small road to the main road. It’s then literally 100m walking on the road before you get to the pavement. So a much safer walk than walking along the main road from the hotel reception.

We absolutely loved our stay at White Rocks and will definately return. I hope you take our comments as minor feedback just to enhance a future stay! It’s still worth a solid 5* review In my opinion!

A fantastic hotel indeed!

Pros:

Everything! Maybe the stairs not much, but it comes with the amazing topography of the place.
So on a serious note:
- pre-arrival help was much needed. They helped me book few restaurants around.
- Arrival was very welcoming.
- The bungalow we had, me and my small family was beautiful, on top of the water. You sleep with the sounds of the waves and away from the main hotel building (which I'd not very loud anyways)
- the swimming pool is good for chilling. The view from there is very nice over the private pebbles and rock beach
- the neighbouring public beach is very convenient. No need to drive anywhere, just 3 minutes walk. And the hotel provides the towels as well.
- Breakfast is generous and very tasty.
- this hotel is only 4 stars, but it's a better experience than many other 5 stars.

We had a booking in another hotel nearby, on the main Street; no direct access or view to the beach. So we had to ditch that and extend our stay at White rocks.

The hotel manager was very helpful from the beginning (helping me sort out a list passport crisis). And the new booking as well.

Highly recommended. I did quite a good research in the area and this hotel stands out by a long stretch.

Cons:

Nothing really.

A super stay at White Rocks Hotel, Kefalonia
Pros:

A lovely hotel, where the staff could not do enough to make our holiday most memorable. Half board was a great option, the buffet breakfast and evening meals could not be faulted. Excellent array of food to suit all tastes. The location of White Rocks is good (airport, towns and some cracking beaches). The amenities were very good and well presented. Really appreciated the pool policy ensuring all guests could enjoy the sun beds. Our room was extremely comfortable, clean and easy to keep at an ambient temperature. Attention detail has been evident throughout our week’s stay. Thank you.

Back again to our happy place!
Pros:

Here we are again in our happy place! Very few things have changed this year but very few changes are necessary here! White Rocks and all the staff know how to make your stay the best it can be, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and whole site is of a high standard and the location second to none with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. The Lungomare à la carte restaurant serves delicious traditional dishes and Greek plates with a twist, a culinary treat and the buffet breakfast has all you could wish for to start your day. From Reception to the bars to the pool staff to the housekeepers and everyone in between you make our holiday. The hotel is family run with many years history and experience and we hope to continue to spend our holidays here for many years to come, congratulations all at White Rocks and see you next year!

Returning guest and we’ll be back
Pros:

Let me just start - The hotel itself and staff are excellent, you’ll have a great time.

This our 3rd visit in 4 years and will look to return in 2027 - this is a beautifully crafted hotel, very clean and the staff are great.

I will comment on a few things that I do believe could be improved or weren’t as good as previous visits though, these are minor issues and not major, but having been 3 times now, I feel it’s fair to comment.

Food - the food overall is very good. Pizza, Greek taco’s and moussaka rolls get a special mention, however this has slightly gone down hill imo. There is not as much variety on the menu either at lunch (pool bar)

Breakfast - you used to be able to get an omelette made fresh, adding bits you want, this has been removed and now a main cooks fried eggs - this didn’t change for the 10 days we stayed - the breakfast is identical each day, and by no means bad, but I don’t feel much choice and so reparative - no avocado/guac etc - coffee machine is excellent and self serve.

Lunch - this menu, although good seems smaller than before - major hits were pizza, smash burger and Greek taco’s - I felt the prawn taco’s were poor, very small cold prawns in a mound of salad, and the mango chicken salad was nowhere near as good as before - 2 tiny skews of chicken - it needs a freshen up.

Drinks - had several flat beers from the beach bar, one of which I had to swap - John was great and sorted this, but when paid over 7 euros for a beer it should be great - the worst is the Coca Cola, it’s served out of a plastic 500ml bottle - i ordered a Coke, assuming it would be in a glass bottle like room service or the full plastic bottle. and the staff poured half a 500ml bottle into a cup - I don’t think that’s right - either you get the full bottle or on a pump - it was also €4!!!!! This has to change!

lungomare - been here a few times, again menu seems smaller - I thought the food was good, but very expensive - a bigger menu would have seen us return as it’s the best view in lassi, but literally only a few things on the menu for my wife. Staff here are excellent though, worth a visit!

Gym - this can so frustrating, as you need to ‘book’ a slot, like Covid. It’s a very small gym, but equipment is new and excellent and fine for holiday. We arrived and had 10 days holiday so wanted to us the gym where I could, ideally before breakfast. Upon arrival, I was told people had already booked the gym for the next 6 days before 9am, and all I could be offered was after. IMO have to review this, as they want people to have one hour slots, but the gym is so small, logically everyone wants 7-8 or 8-9am - also the 1st slot is from 7am, so only 2 slots can booked 7-9am - this isn’t ideal.

It would be fair better if the slots were 30 mins and booked 3 days in advance, this makes it fairer - ideally, just get rid of the slots altogether!

Right, now the good stuff - staff! Check is was easy as per and we went straight to breakfast. Stephanie, John, Maria and several others were excellent and polite. Lots of new staff we didn’t know this year - the Cleaners worked hard and every day the room was spotless, all bathrooms around are clean.

Rooms - we really like the rooms, and part of reason we come back - nice welcome bottle, daily water added to fridge (that’s new) and TV hooks up to prime etc if you fancy a night in - room service is also very good - robe, slippers and bath included - room WiFi is private and that’s excellent touch, and it’s very fast - you stream fine.

Beds are so comfy, and no much noise from other rooms, aircon great.

The pool - lovely a clean, nice decking and table service - they work so hard and always smile.

Library - we used 2 books and left 7 this time, so take them and enjoy!

We walked to Costa Costa every other day, 10 mins - well worth it.

Concierge & Porters - very helpful and nothing is too much.

We went bed and breakfast this time, as doing half board doesn’t work for us as we go beach during the day - we also found half broad only contributes towards your lunch/dinner, it doesn’t cover it.

The hotel is very kind towards cats, they have several, although maybe some water bowls near the pool as cat was constantly drinking out the pool so we made sure we gave it bottled water.

Thanks again, WR, we’ll be back - let’s just hope the beer isn’t flat ;-)

Excellent hotel if looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Fabulous staff and nothing is too much trouble.
Pros:

We had an excellent stay at this hotel—everything was perfect. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday in an amazing location, this is definitely the hotel for you.

Reception
The staff were extremely friendly and check-in was very easy. A porter took our suitcases to the room, and reception also booked taxis for us, which arrived very quickly.

Rooms
The rooms are cleaned daily and are very comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent, and the air conditioning worked well with easy temperature control. There is also a fridge in the room. The bathroom was lovely, featuring a bath and two types of shower.

Food
Breakfast was lovely, with very good food quality and a wide selection. Like everything else in the hotel, breakfast was a relaxed and peaceful experience, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, so we didn’t try the evening buffet. However, we ate at Lungomare several times and it is a fantastic restaurant with excellent food and the most amazing view. The staff there were incredibly helpful, and I would highly recommend eating there—you won’t be disappointed.

Pool and Beach
The pool area is beautiful and exceptionally clean, with very comfortable sunbeds. The private beach is peaceful and relaxing, although I would recommend sea shoes if you plan to go into the water. There is also access via a private gate to the public beach, which is also very nice and only about a five-minute walk away.

Steps and Walking Uphill
As the hotel is located on top of a cliff, there are steps and some uphill walking to reach the beach. This could be an issue for guests with mobility problems, but it was no trouble for us.

We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The hotel and staff are absolutely wonderful.

Fantastic hotel, location, view and staff
Pros:

This hotel is in a beautiful location with the most amazing views! Make sure you book a sea view, we didn’t and regretted it straight away!
The hotel itself it’s gorgeous and spotlessly clean everywhere. Our room was very modern and well appointed but we regretted not getting a seat view as we had a view of trees and the road.
The food is very fresh and good quality with lots of choice. It is buffet style with lots of staff continuously clearing plates and cleaning, so there was always a table available when we arrived and nearly all tables have a sea view. There is an à la carte restaurant that you can pay extra for. We did this once and the food was very good, although quite expensive. It has a lovely outside seating area looking over the sea so we went back a few times just for drinks. We did eat in Lassi a few times for a change, it’s a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and there’s a lot of choice.
The swimming pool was lovely and the sun loungers are the most comfortable ones we’ve ever had with very thick mattresses. The staff serving the pool area were brilliant, always very quick and friendly service and the food and drinks were great. Again the pool area and toilets were kept very clean.
All the staff at this hotel were very friendly, happy and gave great service. We did not encounter anyone who didn’t which is quite unusual and something to celebrate! We would definitely come back but would make sure we booked a sea view and would probably go bed and breakfast as we liked walking up to Lassi for a bit of variety .
Thanks again for a fantastic holiday!

Lovely holiday …except
Pros:

We have just got back from a 10 day stay at white rocks hotel.
Pro’s
Hotel is gorgeous, super clean and all the staff are so friendly and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We had upgraded to a sea view room where the view was beautiful although very hot as the sun was on it all day lol.

Cons
We found the food ok, but not great. Everyone has different tastes and we just found it quite limited selection and we eat anything! Top tip though the Greek yoghurt at breakfast is gorgeous with a selection of nuts and a spoon of honey👍
Yes the walk into lassi can be a bit dicey on the road but as it was the flattest option ( dodgy knee!) we managed ok and the cars always give you plenty of room. The only slightly negative thing is the price of the drinks which we found a little expensive, we felt taken advantage of due to being away from the lassi strip I think they could be more competitive, which we fed back to the hotel. An example was the pool bar, 2 beers and 2 Greek salads was 46 euro which is pretty steep.
Would we go back? Definitely if we could choose B&B, it is in a beautiful setting

Amazing Hotel
Pros:

Where do I begin! This is our 10th visit to White Rocks and that in itself should say something. The staff are fantastic….friendly, attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding cleanlines in the rooms and all areas of the hotel. The ambience of the whole place is chilled, relaxed but very efficient and welcoming. The food is varied and of a great standard…..especially love the desserts! The location is ideal for exploring the island and after a day exploring we come back to a sea view room with balcony overlooking the sea….what’s not to like! See you again next year!
