大分変った部屋や、建物の内装で、面白いが、若干古さが目立ち、窓もなく、全体的に暗い感じで、長くは滞在できなく、その割に部屋代が高い感じ。
朝食の場所、配置、どこに何があるか、英語等で説明する方が一人もいなかったので、全部自分で確認しなければならなかった。案内図などが必要。
地理位置好, 在西門町商圈, 附近有很多吃的, 也在西門町電影院附近.
房間品質差異大, 這次住到的房間靠近尾端, 一直有不間段的機械異音, 很難入睡, 白天1樓餐廳施工, 一大早就很吵.
Room was comfortable. Also nearby got washing machine and water dispenser. So there's no need to worry about water. The location was also great. Nearby got malls and restaurants. Train station was also a little walk away.
The aircon was too cold. Tried increasing the temperature but it doesn't seems to have any effect. It will really help if there's a door that separate the washing area from the main bed area. I also wish the blanket can be a bit longer.
Great location, near Ximen, mutliple bus stops and train stations. So everything was easy to get too
Loved the basement room, no windows meant it was very easy to sleep, room was quiet and it was very spacious, with a great layout and plenty of storage
Bathroom was fantastic, lots of bench space, large shower and everything was clean.
Bed was very comfy and we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Papa Whale
The lightening was very dark, so it made it feel like I was squinting to do things

Room and corridors
Check in and check out was very easy. The people at the counter were very helpful, and they even have a weighing scale for luggages. It is very close to Ximen/Beimen station.

It was a big room.
The staff were very rude to me yet I saw them being very nice and actually smile when serving other people. I think the staff prefer the giant tour group bookings they constantly had and not solo bookings etc. If you want to check in early there is no chance, you have to wait till 3 on the dot, no hour early, no ten mins early. The benches in the room could do with a clean as they were sticky from previous guests as well as the toilet had pee stains on the outside from previous guests which wasn't cleaned the whole time I stayed. There are many cables hanging loose as well as lights. The beds are rock hard. There are not many options for breakfast there. If you want any western food you are out of luck as there is none at all. Many times I would go to get coffee and the machine would be out of beans so I would try to get a staff member but I was just constantly ignored. They also do not clean peoples tables after they leave so one morning I almost couldn't find a table to sit at as every table had people's left over plates and mess on which was really unhygienic. One morning I had a cockroach run around on the breakfast table. I personally do not think this is a 4 star hotel and I wish I knew what breakfast was like before I booked as I would not have picked it.
