New Memnon Hotel

Soggiorno perfetto in ogni minimo dettaglio. La struttura è pulitissima e curata con grande stile. Vista panoramica sui colossi di Memnone. Il Proprietario è stato di una gentilezza e disponibilità uniche, facendoci sentire subito a casa e soddisfacendo ogni nostra esigenza. Colazione ricca, varia e di altissima qualità. Cibo ottimo, piscina piacevole. Non vedo l'ora di tornare!

Location was great, close to the Valley of the Kings so we could get there before the crowd in the morning (great view from the rooftop also) but not isolated. You can find a few small supermarkets and restaurants within 5min walk, and I felt safe walking by myself in that area.
Large room, comfortable, everything looked clean and modern, A/C worked fine.
Sayed the owner was fantastic, he helped us organize our trip (at fair prices, guides/drivers were great), he was on top of everything, and handling every single request very quickly (his wife even prepared some spices I couldn't find at the supermarket, just for us!).
It was great to have a swimming pool in those hot summer days, it was very clean.
It was also very convenient to have a restaurant at the hotel (they do not overcharge you, it's the same price as other restaurants outside, and the food is good, try the Muhammara dip, it's delicious!).

Mr. Sayed is the heart and soul of this hotel. He makes the stay worth every penny. There may be more expensive hotels from big chains in Luxor, but staying at a locally-owned hotel who cares deeply about showing all of Luxor’s beauty and ensuring you have the best experience possible is all what Mr. Sayed and New Memnon is about. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel all the nights and the food was delicious. The room was very comfortable and although we didn’t use the pool it looked very nice to be able to lounge on the sun chairs. The bunny’s in the garden were a sweet plus.

My tips: book all your excursions through Mr. Sayed if possible. We made the mistake of booking our guide through an online platform and we were very displeased with her. It was very clear she wanted us to buy at the shops she took us to and some of the information she said contradicted previous guides. We booked a 6 hr tour to 2 pyramids outside Luxor with Mr. Sayed and the guide he set us up with was significantly better. I regretted not booking everything through Mr. Sayed. He makes everything so seamless even airport transfers. Other tip: bring and pay with dollars.

Ons verblijf in het New Memnon Hotel op de West Bank van Luxor was werkelijk onvergetelijk. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelden we ons niet als gewone gasten, maar als familie. De hartelijkheid, vriendelijkheid en oprechte gastvrijheid van het hele team zijn uitzonderlijk. Je wordt er behandeld als een koning en koningin, en niets is hen te veel om je verblijf perfect te maken.
We hebben enorm genoten van onze zomerreis naar Luxor. Dankzij de uitstekende organisatie van het hotel verliep elke dag vlekkeloos. De excursies werden zorgvuldig gepland zodat we steeds op de ideale momenten de tempels en historische sites konden bezoeken. Daardoor konden we optimaal genieten van alle bezienswaardigheden, zelfs tijdens de warme zomermaanden.
Ook de organisatie van alle uitstappen was simpelweg perfect. Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld, met comfortabele transfers en fantastische gidsen die hun enorme kennis en passie voor de Egyptische geschiedenis op een boeiende manier deelden. Hierdoor werd elke excursie een unieke belevenis.
Het hotel zelf straalt luxe uit zonder zijn authentieke Egyptische charme te verliezen. De kamers zijn comfortabel, de sfeer is warm en ontspannen, en de rustige ligging op de West Bank is ideaal om de indrukwekkende schatten van Luxor te ontdekken.
Het restaurant verdient eveneens alle lof. Elke maaltijd was een culinair genot, met een heerlijke combinatie van authentieke Egyptische gerechten en verfijnde westerse smaken. Alles werd vers bereid en met veel zorg geserveerd.
Wat ons misschien nog het meest heeft geraakt, was de persoonlijke aandacht. Of het nu ging om het organiseren van een uitstap, een praktische vraag of een klein verzoek, het team stond altijd klaar om te helpen met een glimlach. Die oprechte betrokkenheid maakt het verschil tussen een goed hotel en een buitengewone ervaring.
Volgend jaar keren we met veel plezier terug om vanuit Luxor de spectaculaire totale zonsverduistering van 2027 mee te maken.

Had a wonderful welcome from the owner when I returned. Very comfortable hotel set in lovely gardens.

I love this hotel. I booked two nights between a short trip to Aswan and was welcomed back like one of the family. I had the same room so everything was familiar. Despite it not being a meal time I was offered a drink and snack. Tea with mint and home made cake. Yum.

The staff are wonderful and the pool was very welcome to cool off after a day sightseeing. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice. This is the best hotel on the West Bank and very convenient for all the temples and tombs.

Location location location! Perfect for the west bank. Walking distance from the ticket office and the memnon statues can be seen from the roof terrace. The staff are so kind and the Owner can arrange any transport you may need. I rented a bike to get to some of the further sites.
The rooms are well fitted and clean with a great shower room with excellent water pressure for a refreshing shower after a day of visits.
The breakfast was amazing, so much choice, and omelette made to order. Fresh coffee too, rather than the usual Nescafé.
Love this property, the gardens are beautiful and a pool with terrace to relax by make this a perfect place for anyone wanting an authentic Egyptian hospitality experience.

L'hôte ainsi que le personnel étaient très accueillants et aux petits soins. Les repas étaient de grande qualité et très généreux. La chambre était grande, calme et bien climatisée. Je recommande également l'hôte, M.Sayed pour l'organisation de notre séjour à Louxor : Réservation d'un excellent guide égyptologue français et très bon chauffeur privé. Sayyeed, the owner and all the staff are born to be a host. Friendly, helpful, fair and intelligent.

Since we came outside of the season we were his only guests. He sat down with us, drove us to the barber, to a pool (since his was under construction), organized Egyptian food. He could not have done more for us.


The room and the entire hotel were super clean and stylishly furnished and the food was out of this world.

We loved every second of it.

Hr. Saheed der Direktor der Anlage spricht auch Deutsch und war in jeder Situation hilfsbereit. Charakterstarker Mann der nur das Beste für seine Gäste will. Billigste Taxipreise usw. Saubere Küche frischestes Essen. Die Zimmerboys putzen den ganzen Tag.wirklich sehr schöne saubere Anlage. Ich bin noch dort(28.02.2026) und habe um 10 Tage verlängert. Viele historische Stätten im Nahbereich. Die Memnonkolosse max. 100 m entfernt.Die Heißluftballons fliegen zu Dutzenden ca 100 bis 200 m hoch direkt am Fenster vorbei. herrlich. Kann Fotos auf Wunsch senden.Reinen Herzens kann ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen.lg an alle die sich für einen Aufenthalt interessieren

The location was very comfortable (close to the main temples etc.)and the option of renting a bike was perfect. The owner was very kind, open, flexible and helpful. The room was very spacious, with a nice balcony with a garden view. Swimming pool is a big plus in warm days.

The location is amazing, all the things you want to visit is very close to the hotel. The hotel is cozy, clean and quiet. The staff is just amazing and the fact that the owner is there taking care of the bussing and the guest make the experience even better. Thank you Sayed for you hospitality.
