New Memnon Hotel

El alojamiento es increíble, es espacioso, cómodo, limpio y se nota que han cuidado cada detalle. Tiene un jardín y piscina que son perfectas para relajarse. La azotea es impresionante, las vistas desde ella son inigualables, tanto para ver el atardecer como para ver el amanecer con todos los globos volando cerca y por encima de tí. El desayuno es muy completo y está riquísimo, al igual que la comida y la cena. Nos han hecho sentir como en casa y nos han ayudado en todo lo que hemos necesitado. Además, el barrio es encantador, y las vecinas y vecinos nos han acompañado en nuestra experiencia, haciéndola aún mejor.

There was so much to see from this easy location that I stayed longer than I anticipated. Note that many tourists only go to the major sites and they can be crowded. But this hotel being so close to Valley of the Kings one can miss crowds if one goes early. Also, walking distance are Tombs of the Nobels with very few people to but can rival Valley of the Kings tombs and you can have to yourself. Also Habu temple is walking distance and could rival Luxor temple but almost no tourists. And finally, if one crosses the river, facing the Nile from the east side, the Luxor Museum is a marvel....a mini GEM but relaxing as only a few tourist go there. The lighting is just perfect for photography.....I believe that the architect was Italian.

The kindness and hospitality of the New Memnon Hotel owner , Sayed and all the staff made my 10 night stay in Luxor an amazing experience, one which I will never forget. This is my second lengthy stay at this hotel when I stayed here for two weeks in 2023.
Located on the west bank of the Nile, its on the doorstep of the Valley of the Kings, Valley of Queens, Deir El Medina , Tomb of Nobels, Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, and the best place to commence a day visit to Abydos and Dendra Temples.
My room was large, very clean with satellite TV, fridge and coffee and tea making facilities and a view across a beautiful garden to watch the sunset each evening. The roof top terrace provides amazing panoramic view to watch the sunrise or sunset on the surrounding limestone cliffs.
The spacious well kept gardens and pool area provide the perfect oasis to unwind after visiting the many archaeological sites.
The New Memnon Restaurant provided an excellent big breakfast each morning and prepared a breakfast box for me on days when I left early to watch the sun rise at the various archaeological sites.
The restaurant dinner menu is extensive and of very high quality. The soups and Egyptian meals were superb and I will certainly will miss eating at the restaurant.
The hotel organised bike hire for the duration of my stay. With many of the archaeological sites only 10 – 15 minutes easy ride, meant I could ride to sites each morning before the crowds arrived from the Luxor east bank.
The hotel also organised private car trips for me to more distant sites like El kab and Abydos.
If you are planning to visit the west bank of Luxor The New Memnon hotel is the ideal place to stay for couples , families or the single traveller.
This hotel gets 10/10 the highest rating I’ve ever given to any hotel before.

La gentillesse du propriétaire,il nous a organisé la balade en montgolfière et surtout mis à notre disposition une navette pour l' aéroport à la descente de cette dernière. Nous avons aussi aimé la nourriture au restaurant.

The garden is marvelous , the rooms are beautiful, the personal is really nice and makes sure you have everything you need. The food is DELICIOUS ! And you can go by walking or by bike to some of the great sightseeings in Luxor . It is at the calm side of the city, so you only hear the sound of birds :)

I usually do not write reviews but in this case I was pleasantly surprised so I will do so. Owner Mr. Sayed runs a very tight ship, down to the smallest detail. For about 26 rooms and restaurant and pool he has a large staff of about 15. All are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are very large with nice balconies, clean with a/c as needed (although evening breeze is often enough), very hot water, fridge and coffee maker. The pool is well maintained and comfortable, the food excellent with a dedicated chef .....and very, very clean. I think for the above reasons plus the convenient and quiet location I have seen a number of foreign Egyptologists stay here and had some nice conversations. Anything required, whether it be reliable and safe transport to archeological sites, or to nearby balloon sunrise trips, all can be arranged by Mr. Sayed. Overall, a good value and a pleasant stay.

Great and well placed location with easy access to all sightseeing attractions in Luxor. An intimate hotel away from the noise of the town, paired with a great personal touch and the all around care of Mr. Said!

Location is very good. Its near the Memnon and Habou. Nice and relaxed place. Stayed there for 5 nights and can easily recomend it. Roof top view and pool where you can relax after hot day. Owner is the best and personell is relaxed. Food is tasty, fresh and clean. If you want to stay in West Luxor this is the place to be. Rooms are spaceus and if possible book garden view room. Its nice.

Perfect hotel to visit Luxor. Location just in front of Memnon Colossi and 5-10 minutes by car from all attractions in West Bank. The owner of the hotel is very kind and supportive and can provide whatever you need, including car with driver to all attractions in and outside Luxor. Very good breakfast, served at the restaurant or in the garden. Perfect quality-price ratio both for the room and for the additional services provided. Very recommended!

The garden was quite peacefull, Sayed - the owner helped me to do the Luxor pass what is great if you want to visit most of the places around Luxor and arranged private tours.

By far the best stay in our Egypt tour! The hotel is located in a quiet part of the West Bank, away from the noise of the East Bank. There is a beautiful view from the rooftop, and you are very well located to visit the Valley of the Kings. We left early in the morning and were the first to enter the gates.

But most importantly, the service is absolutely first class. The owner, Sayed, is super friendly, attentive, and hospitable. He helped us arrange everything seamlessly, from transport to our next stop to organizing tours, including connecting us with a great guide who made our experience even more special.

We especially enjoyed chatting with him after dinner over a cup of tea. It made the stay feel incredibly personal and memorable. We can definitely recommend staying here!
