New Memnon Hotel

Had a wonderful welcome from the owner when I returned. Very comfortable hotel set in lovely gardens.

I love this hotel. I booked two nights between a short trip to Aswan and was welcomed back like one of the family. I had the same room so everything was familiar. Despite it not being a meal time I was offered a drink and snack. Tea with mint and home made cake. Yum.

Location location location! Perfect for the west bank. Walking distance from the ticket office and the memnon statues can be seen from the roof terrace. The staff are so kind and the Owner can arrange any transport you may need. I rented a bike to get to some of the further sites.
The rooms are well fitted and clean with a great shower room with excellent water pressure for a refreshing shower after a day of visits.
The breakfast was amazing, so much choice, and omelette made to order. Fresh coffee too, rather than the usual Nescafé.
Love this property, the gardens are beautiful and a pool with terrace to relax by make this a perfect place for anyone wanting an authentic Egyptian hospitality experience.

The staff are wonderful and the pool was very welcome to cool off after a day sightseeing. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice. This is the best hotel on the West Bank and very convenient for all the temples and tombs.

L'hôte ainsi que le personnel étaient très accueillants et aux petits soins. Les repas étaient de grande qualité et très généreux. La chambre était grande, calme et bien climatisée. Je recommande également l'hôte, M.Sayed pour l'organisation de notre séjour à Louxor : Réservation d'un excellent guide égyptologue français et très bon chauffeur privé. Sayyeed, the owner and all the staff are born to be a host. Friendly, helpful, fair and intelligent.

Since we came outside of the season we were his only guests. He sat down with us, drove us to the barber, to a pool (since his was under construction), organized Egyptian food. He could not have done more for us.


The room and the entire hotel were super clean and stylishly furnished and the food was out of this world.

We loved every second of it.

Hr. Saheed der Direktor der Anlage spricht auch Deutsch und war in jeder Situation hilfsbereit. Charakterstarker Mann der nur das Beste für seine Gäste will. Billigste Taxipreise usw. Saubere Küche frischestes Essen. Die Zimmerboys putzen den ganzen Tag.wirklich sehr schöne saubere Anlage. Ich bin noch dort(28.02.2026) und habe um 10 Tage verlängert. Viele historische Stätten im Nahbereich. Die Memnonkolosse max. 100 m entfernt.Die Heißluftballons fliegen zu Dutzenden ca 100 bis 200 m hoch direkt am Fenster vorbei. herrlich. Kann Fotos auf Wunsch senden.Reinen Herzens kann ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen.lg an alle die sich für einen Aufenthalt interessieren

The location was very comfortable (close to the main temples etc.)and the option of renting a bike was perfect. The owner was very kind, open, flexible and helpful. The room was very spacious, with a nice balcony with a garden view. Swimming pool is a big plus in warm days.

The location is amazing, all the things you want to visit is very close to the hotel. The hotel is cozy, clean and quiet. The staff is just amazing and the fact that the owner is there taking care of the bussing and the guest make the experience even better. Thank you Sayed for you hospitality.

Een warm welkom in een heerlijk hotel. De eigenaar is geweldig en denkt direct met je mee. De locatie is rustig en dichtbij belangrijke bezienswaardigheden. Het eten is fantastisch en authentiek. Kortom, het Memnon Hotel is zeer aan te raden

L'hôtel est situé à côté des colosses de Memnon et à 10mn de l embarcadere (taxi) il est très calme, la piscine est super, des petits lapins courent dans le jardin.
Tout est très propre, la chambre est grande. Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné le manager aussi

Personale gentilissimo, sempre attento alle nostre esigenze, a tutte le ore. Posizione ottima per visitare la valle dei Re e il tempio di Hatshepsut la mattina presto. Camera molto pulita e accogliente. Anche la piscina era pulitissima e ci ha consentito un momento di relax tra la visita della West Bank e della East Bank, nelle ore più calde della giornata. La cena era buonissima e abbondante, servita sotto la pergola in giardino circondati da un'atmosfera di pace. Sayed è una persona ospitale ed onesta. Ci ha aiutato moltissimo nell'organizzazione della nostra permanenza a Luxor, fornendoci un driver affidabile e gentile per l'intera giornata; ci ha anche organizzato il transfer ad Assuan con la visita del tempio di Edfu e di Kom Ombo, sempre con driver privato, ad un prezzo onesto. Complessivamente un soggiorno perfetto, se dovessi tornare a Luxor tornerei sicuramente qui!

I have stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was honestly the first time I felt such warmth, kindness, and personal attention from every member of the team.

I came to Luxor mainly to explore historical sites like the Valley of the Kings, but my experience at this hotel exceeded all expectations and became one of the highlights of my trip. When I thanked the owner for such amazing hospitality, he just smiled and said, “This is normal for us.” That moment made the experience even more memorable.

If you want not only an unforgettable trip in Luxor, but also the best hospitality experience, I strongly recommend staying at this hotel.
