Phenomenal! We were welcomed with juice and pleased staff. They made sure we were accommodated and made our final day in Cartagena relaxing. Great staff, great location and amazing amenities.

The room facing the street with a wonderful view is a bit noisy. I was moved at my request and managed well in another room. They tend to be on the cozy side but with a lot of charm. The people working in the hotel are extremely well trained and most helpful. Breakfast is a la carte
pretty much and quite good. You get your choice of eating in air conditioned lobby or open wide open roof with a view.

Very friendly and helpful staff - great location - loved the rooftop Jacuzzi - only criticism is of the room with bunk beds which is of a much lower standard than other rooms

Overall, it is a cosy little boutique hotel with pleasant decoration and welcoming character. Although we were not happy at all with the facilities, the staff was so great, friendly, hospitable that compensated for the issues with the facility itself.
The hotel and rooms have several issues that you must be aware of. The hotel is on the far edge of Getsemani, almost a kilometre away from the walled historic center and quite a walk in hot and humid weather. I had not realized this when I booked it. I would have preferred to book somewhere closer to the old city but still in Getsmani as it is very nice and less touristy than the walled city.
We had booked the room with a view but it was a mistake. The room opens in the upper floor terrace which is an outside sitting area for all guests and also used by some guests for breakfast. So you can understand that the first people who would come for breakfast would wake us up. The rooms, the bathroom and bed are very small, and we kept hitting our feet and knees on the wooden bed rim. The air condition was dripping on our heads and pillow and there was one tiny window looking into the terrace. Right above us was a bar and Jacuzzi which played music in early afternoon so again sleeping during siesta was an issue.
Staff and receptionists were absolutely wonderful. Also, we do recognize that the management tried to make the best of what they have, but overall, we felt that we paid too much for this accommodation.

Loved staying at Hotel Casa Isabel the staff is great thanks to Javier and Adriana and all the people that work there they make you feel like home .This Hotel is not on the center of town is like a 10minutes walk to the center but the Hop on Hop Off stop #4 is right on the corner .We used taxis and we walk to everything.Mind you the weather in Cartagena is HOT AND STICKY and their streets flood very easily .But still Casa Isabel is a Hotel I highly recommend

Elegi el hotel al ver las fotos, pero me decepciono puesto que se trata de una casa habilitada para hotel, eso si, bellamente decorada con un estilo kicht, no me dieron la habitación que contrate, en su lugar me asignaron una habitación en la terraza ubicada en la azotea, con una muy bonita vista pero sin ventilación, el aire acondicionado goteo toda la noche sobre mi cabeza y la habitación termino inundada. Al día siguiente me ofrecieron cambiar de habitación a una de mayor tamaño pero no la tome. Aclaro que la atención del personal fue excelente, tanto Georgina como Avaro se esforzaron al máximo para hacernos sentir bien, pero optamos por buscar un hotel en mejor zona, ya que lo alrededores están muy descuidados y mejores condiciones de habitación, lo cual fue fácil dada la gran oferta de habitaciones centicas y de buen tamaño

I have been travling around south america now for the last 2 months, and have been in colombia for the last month, i arrived in cartegena to see what all the fuss was about this place, (and WOW what a place). I prebooked this hotel before i arrived in cartegena, and on my way to the hotel the taxi driver tried to convince me to go to another hotel (same old story with taxi drivers around the world dont trust them) and rightly so because this hotel stands out, after 2 months of travling this hotel and srounding area is simply stunning, the area the people and especially the hotel staff have been soooo accommodating above and beyond my high expectations i cannot recommend this hotel and srounding area enough, Im absolutely in love with this place.
Getsemani is very close to la torre de el reloj, castillo san felipe, and there is a plaza full of tourist which is a really nice place, and there is a famous salsa bar called la Habana, this is a trendy and buzzing place full of life if youre looking for a in the moment happening place bubbling with top bars and resturants with special people and a safe environment this is the place for you. after a good night out what other way too chill out than to sit in this hotels roof top jacuzzi and watch the sunset over this stunning place.
