Kiotari Beach Apartments - Studios

Het was een super accommodatie! De vrouw bij de receptie was ook super aardig. Ze hielp ons altijd en goed ook. We wouden een nummer voor een taxi hebben zodat we zelf konden bellen, maar ze bood gelijk aan om voor ons te bellen! Super aardig en super attent. Elke ochtend kwamen ze schoonmaken, als je dat wilde. Deze vrouwen waren ook super aardig en deden alles netjes. Om de 3 dagen werden de handdoeken en het beddengoed verschoond, en werd ons bed weer helemaal opgemaakt. Oftewel; het was allemaal goed geregeld! Ik zou zeker terug gaan naar deze accommodatie.

Greeted with a demand for a cash payment as soon as I arrived at 11.30pm after a 6 hour journey. I thought Expedia had passed on my bank card details but no, wanted cash NOW. Asked if could sort in the morning but refused, saying I could leave now! She phoned her son who put the phone down on us. All she had to do was hold my passport till I had paid, I am 67 and walk with a stick! Had to go and find a cashpoint to give her the cash. Just got a hand written receipt, not on headed paper. Was accused of damaging the toilet when it started ‘flushing’ and water coming up through the drains in the bathroom at 4am! There was NO kettle in the room and still not got one a week later even though was continually promised one, no facilities to make hot drinks or heat up food but frying pan and saucepans in cupboard. Maid service only the once in the week. My daughter was so concerned by their attitude she paid for me to stay in another hotel for the next night who had one room vacant for one night.. I would have booked elsewhere but all full. I felt I was being treated like a criminal just because a previous guest had left without paying and didn’t feel at all comfortable that week - I stayed out as much as I could. She came in with a receipt book the next day saying she would refund me if I left but wanted 70euros for the night - not the 44 advertised. Phoned her son (again) who said no refund….. I hadn’t even asked for one as I knew all other places were full. A terrible ‘welcome' !

Il posto è impagabile per la posizione e la proprietaria e' gentilissima, ma mancavano alcune cose indispensabili per un buon confort tipo il bollitore per la colazione e una sedia ..., comunque ci ritornerei!...

Comodo a chi vuole fare vita di mare e spiaggia. C'è una taverna con lettini ed ombrelloni appena si attraversa la strada. E' fornito di forno, piastre elettriche, frigo.

Great location for a relaxing couple's holiday as its very close to the beach and in a peaceful, quiet area. The owners made us feel at home with a warm welcome, recommended a great taverne and our room had a complimentary bottle of juice and water which was much appreciated after driving from the airport.
Apparently the small studio that we booked was strangely not meant to be available for reservation - it was a small room with a bathroom and the beds were quite uncomfortable - but the fridge and airconditioning worked and Alexander made up for it by moving us to a better room for the last couple of nights. As with some other apartments on Greek islands both rooms only had a hand shower, which isnt easy to use if you try to shower one-handed or wash your hair, which is worth noting as some people might find it difficult.
There are a few tavernes within walking distance of the apartments but I would recommend hiring a car to visit surrounding areas with more variety of foods, especially liked Lindos which is a lovely town not far away from Kiotari. Also worth getting a pair of aqua shoes to take along with you as the beach is pebbly and it would make for a much more comfortable trip!
We'd definitely recommend Kiotari Beach Apartments if you want a convenient base to explore the island, combined with lazy days on the beach and a bit of peace and quiet.
