Great location
Convenient location, pleasant staff, delicious food
Centrally located hotel close to the sites, shopping and food.
The hotel is very good and the breakfast provide a rich experience, for those who love shopping, hotel location is perfict.
Excellent location down town, close to the egyptian museum and shopping area. Staff are helpful and courteous. Car service is very expensive to the airport $52 compared to Uber which is $4.
Very nice hotel and staff very helpful from the front disk to the house keeping all are so helpful smile covering their face .
The most important thing is the restaurant make sure to get breakfast so you can meet donia and Miriam the chif Mohammed and there is many more staff you will meet .
Amazing
Y
Everything was excellent except one staff member who spoke to me with arrogance throughout my stay. He is at the front desk and his name is Ramses or something similar. When I first checked in he spoke to me with an arrogant tone and I was met with the same tone upon checkout. I didn't appreciate his attitude. Othe than that the hotel is what you would expect for that type of hotel. Other staff are friendly and helpful.
Awesome
Absolutely amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. I want to give a special shout-out to Mohamad at the reception bar — I had an issue with my suitcase not opening, and as soon as I mentioned it, he immediately asked me to bring it over. He managed to open it right away and even offered me a lock from his own pocket. Such kindness and helpfulness are truly rare!
The hotel is extremely safe, spotlessly clean, and the food is delicious. Don’t miss the breakfast — it’s one of the best I’ve ever had!
Highly recommended in every way. I would definitely come back!
The hotel staff was very nice and charming. The area was easy to walk around for dining and museum activities — a perfect stay in Cairo. The room was clean and quiet, and I had a patio overlooking the pool, which was a nice feature, though unfortunately bird droppings kept me from using it. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you’re visiting the Cairo area.
Convenient location, great staff
Wonderful hotel and service! The location is fine but nothing can be done for the noise, cleanliness and transportation! The whole country is like this!
super clean
I would give 4.5 stars if possible. This hotel was great. Staff was friendly and professional. Hotel itself was very clean, upgraded and comfortable. The breakfast was also amazing, best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Its crazy how many food options there are, and some meals change every day so breakfast isn’t always the exact same. You can even ask the chef to make you an omelette.
The only reason I give the hotel 4/5 stars is because you can hear the traffic a bit at night. I’m a light sleeper but I was okay with ear plugs. The staff also said they have a plan in place to add in sound proof/double pane windows to reduce the noise, so thats awesome. The last thing is T.V. wise theres no apps like Netflix or anything haha. So I didn’t watch T.V. because it was all local channels. Having the option to wind down watching at.V. after a day out in the heat would have been nice.
But yeah, amazing property and I would 100% stay there again next time I’m in Cairo. I felt super safe, taken care of and welcome. Thanks!
Every single moment here was incredible. Excellent service from every single person; from the security guards, the managers, the wait staff and the cleaning crew. Great food options and the drinks were good too. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Ambient music in all areas and a welcoming smile everywhere we went.
The Steigenberger was disappointing. The rooms, lobby & facilities are nice -- but that's where it ends. The service is extremely poor. Whether it was the front desk, concierge, or the restaurant, I dealt with constant miscommunication and the staff's poor judgment. It did not seem that the staff was trained to handle basic requests. I often had to ask the same thing multiple times, and still would not get a satisfactory response. For example, when I asked about how to get to Memphis (a popular tourist destination), I was transferred multiple times and then the front desk gave me directions to the Giza pyramids. I asked the concierge for where to go for dinner in Zamalek, and he gave me a name of the street--but not a restaurant name or address. The restaurant workers seemed entirely confused. My first night, the waitress said I couldn't charge to my room and then she insisted that someone would "go to my room and get my credit card" (she meant someone would follow me to my room, but she did not say that, and in any event that would have been ridiculous and insulting to treat guests like dine-and-dash thieves). The quality of food at the restaurant was terrible, esp. their attempts at international food. The location has no value because it is impossible to walk around in the area due to traffic. The manager of the hotel was nice and apologetic, but unfortunately that was not enough for me to give this hotel more than 2 stars. I had a bad experience and was relieved to leave.
