Pros:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Lovely Stay at Hanthana House, Kandy
We had a wonderful stay at Hanthana House in Kandy. Although we only stayed for one night, we were so impressed with this beautiful place.
The location is lovely and peaceful, with a beautiful setting. The whole property was exceptionally clean, and our room was spacious, comfortable and very well maintained.
We enjoyed an amazing traditional Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning — fresh, delicious and the perfect way to start our day! 😍
The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating, which made our stay feel even more special. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into looking after the guests.
They are also currently building a swimming pool, which will be a fantastic addition to an already lovely place.
We would happily stay at Hanthana House again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy. A beautiful place with wonderful hospitality! ❤️

A true gem in the hills above Kandy.
Pros:

Spacious, had separate bedrooms, huge comfortable beds, giant bathrooms, central sitting area. Rooftop seating and lounge. We basically had a small villa to ourselves. The staff were amazing and did everything they could to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Food was great. They changed the menu each morning we were there. If you have a chance I would highly recommend staying here.

A peaceful retreat in Kandy hills.
Pros:

This is a beautiful guest house, set high up in the hills above Kandy. It's a tuktuk ride into the city, but a welcome escape coming back out of it. The family that own and run it are wonderful, interesting and very kind. The rooms are finished to a great standard - it was amazing value for money.

Pros:

Heerlijk rustige locatie, midden in de jungle geluiden, apen op het balkon. Zeer vriendelijke staf, die uitstekende en gevarieerde Srilankaanse ontbijten en diners maakten. Ruime kamers, grote balkons en ruime gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Wij waren met 4p en hadden de hele bovenverdieping voor onszelf. De manager nam ons mee voor een wandeling.

Cons:

Niets.
De weg naar de lodge is steil, en de apen maken veel herrie op het dak.

Relaxed stay in the hills above Kandy
Pros:

Balcony with great views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Wonderful food (breakfast and dinner). Very helpful staff offering good advice on how the make the best out of a day in Kandy.

Superbe hôtel dans la jungle!
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Hanthana House.
We chose it specifically because it was located outside the city.

The rooms are beautiful, and the construction is of very high quality. The view from the hotel is simply unbeatable.

Ashan was an invaluable help throughout our stay. He took us on a sunset walk and gave us plenty of great advice for our short stay in Kandy. He truly made a big difference.

We had one lunch and two dinners at the hotel. The food was delicious. The only criticism I could make is that the meal prices are quite high compared to what you might find in town. (10 usd per adult per meal!).

That said, everything was excellent. I would recommend that future guests make sure to check the prices beforehand.

Cons:

It’s true that finding a tuk-tuk to go into town and come back can sometimes be a challenge, especially with the increase in fuel prices. But with a little patience, we managed every time.

Pros:

部屋からに景色は良かったです。
それと、子供の誕生日にケーキを用意してくれたので、嬉しかったです。

Cons:

2泊しましたが、1泊目はシャワーのお湯が出なかった。夜10時くらいでしたが、ホテルの電気は消灯されスタッフを探せずその日は水シャワーで我慢しました。
スタッフへの連絡手段がわからず困惑した。

電気のスイッチもドレッサーの後ろにあり、とてもつけづらい。

食堂は工事現場の隣なので、景色もないです。

Fijne rustige accommodatie

Agréable et reposant
Pros:

Bel emplacement sur les hauteurs de Kandy, avec vue sur la jungle.
L’accueil est très agréable, comme toujours au Sri Lanka.
Un service de Taxi entre l’hôtel et le centre-ville et mise à disposition.
Les repas peuvent être pris à l’hôtel à midi et le soir ainsi que les petits déjeuners, et sont excellents.
