Stayed here for one night and although the room was clean with good facilities the whole atmosphere at the hotel was a bit strange. Receptionist staff were lounging around smoking and continued to do so when we approached them - not very professional! They also seemed a bit surprised when we arrived and didn't seem to be expecting us. We were initially shown a very small room but hadn't even got our bags in the room before being asked to move upstairs to be shown a bigger room which was much nicer, not sure why we were taken to the small room first! It also appears the hotel offers other 'services' - there is a big neon sign about the hotel that says 'massage parlour' ;) Having said all this, we had a really good nights sleep and noise was not a problem.
Very clean and quiet room. Confortable, nice view (city and sea) from top floor and very bright room. Staff friendly and try to help (using google translate). Did visit 4 hotels before and this room was by far the nicest ! A lot of patterns of tiles which made it funny to me... Look like if it was renovated recently... I am a women travelling alone and felt very confortable. Fridge in the room.
As a long-term guest here with a room over the street, it is easy to become a part of the establishment and part of the surrounding community. The language barrier is not problem for the genuine traveler - someone will get someone else who can speak your language or some version of English. This hotel is tucked away four minutes walk off the main road in behind the university and for anyone with a bit of friendliness, the students will quickly invite you for a game of football down the beach or to a picnic. On the surface, the town has little to offer but for people wanting to become absorbed into Vietnamese life and who are willing to be that bit outgoing, this hotel is an excellent base. It des not offer much beyond immaculate airy rooms with small fridges and a/c, cleaned everyday, a roof top view at dawn and dusk if you want to mount the stairs, and friendliness - but for the price what else does the real traveller ask for? Sitting in the Full House Café round the corner and WRITING your post cards will quickly raise you in the locals' esteem. Whether you want budget clean peace and quiet for one night or to stay for a fortnight and explore the life of the Vietnamese and watch how these remarkable people have sprung back from defeating four world Powers, Quy Nhon is your city and Yen Vy is your hotel
It's a dated hotel but that could be alright if the stuff did not treat guests as dirt and did not try to scam them.
They tried to charge as second time although the room has been paid in advance when I booked it.
also we rented a motorbike from them for a day. they brought us a very old motorbike which we paid in advance and next morning when we returned the motorbike, they charged us again, saying it is the second day (although everybody else a day means 24 hours).
Stay away from this place and definitely do not rent motorbike from the people. They take your passport, so they can demand anything they want.
This hotel is quite ok for those travelling on a budget. It was clean and comfortable and only a fraction of other hotels in the area. It has a couple of seedy massage shops close by but they didnt cause any problems
Stayed in the hotel for more than a week . The soup was not replaced after first day , bathroom tissue was not supplied until last evening before departure.
The hotel is half a block from a busy street , but traffic noise is muffled by surrounding buildings .3 minutes walk to the beach and promenade about 20 minutes walk to shopping centers . One English speaking receptionist. If you negotiate longer term have it written down, when time came to pay I was quoted higher price, after producing prearranged price all went well. Honest mistake ? Perhaps.
Several shortcomings, but I enjoyed the view from the room, it was updated and clean I did not mind slight inconveniences . Laundry service is in the alley 20 m from the hotel.
