Cons:

The staff I encountered were very rude, particularly when handling an issue they had created themselves. They had given me a USD 50 bill that a bank subsequently refused to accept. I contacted the hotel the following day to report the issue and request an exchange. During the call, the staff assured me that they would call me back, but I never received a response. When I returned to the hotel for another stay, I raised the issue again, but they still refused to resolve it. They initially claimed that the bank was closed and then argued that the bank they work with would not accept the bill back, as though money had an expiration date. I was extremely disappointed by their attitude and their unwillingness to take responsibility for a problem caused by their own staff.
Furthermore, I was assigned a room without hot water. Despite reporting the issue, it remained unresolved until I had to leave for the airport to catch my flight.
Overall, my experience was very disappointing due to the staff's unprofessional attitude, poor customer service, and repeated failure to address these issues. I expected a much higher standard of hospitality and accountability, and I would encourage the management to improve its customer service and ensure that guests' concerns are handled promptly and professionally.

Great location and beautiful gardens .
Pros:

Breakfast was great. The Pool was a public pool so a little crowded. The shower in the room wasn’t good. Had to hold in one hand and water was hot cold hot cold.

Cons:

I’m sorry to to say but the whole place needs attention. Top marks for the cleaning crew, they had a tough job but worked tirelessly 👍

Pros:

I do like the area of the location and walking way around the hotel neighborhood super nice super sweet location I love it but

Cons:

I have bad experience to hear and they give me
hard time in front desk you should have to pay only dollar they said we not accept Ethiopian currency
But I'm Ethiopian might have to pay and get service by Ethiopian currency this is not fair you should have to be served both people by equality
My expectation is so high for the Guion Hotel but the customer service is poor and mismanagement and corrupted finally they serve me by Ethiopian currency because of I'm fighting for my right I don't care about the money they have to be respect me I'm a Spender I'm their customer without customer each and every employee are nothing employee they must have to be respect the customer sorry for putting this coming for you guys because of you did wrong you have to be learned thank you!

Good not great
Pros:

The food was incredible, the staff was kind and helping, the location was perfect near cafés and pharmacys and the Ghion compound was very pretty and enjoyable to walk around in

Cons:

The room wasn't sound proof and you could hear everything from the room nextdoor and also the sound from outside. The sink were leaking so the bathroom floor was always wet so you needed to use slippers to go to the toilet.
