We had the most incredible stay at the Desiterra hotel. The hotel was beautifully presented and clean. As a family of 4 we hired the family villa which was lovely with our own pool and fairly spacious. The staff are absolutely wonderful at the property and made our stay so worthwhile. They took care of everything we could ask for.
We used all the facilities: the spa was great and we had a wonderful massage, the gym which was a little small but has what you need, the pool which has lovely views, and the restaurant had exquisite food - highly recommend the lamb chops and beef tagliata!
All in all we couldn’t recommend the hotel more. We would certainly go back.
The suite was very nice and comfortable. We loved the private plunge pool we had. The staff were very freindly and accommodating. They had a transfer service we used quire a bit and the driver was a really nice guy

Amazing, best vacation!
This was an amazing vacation for our family. We stayed in the saffron gatherers villa which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, nice patio and pool. The villa has AC and it was nice a cool and the patio had the best breeze. The climate was amazing. The breakfast was great with a variety of egg omelettes and eggs and variety of pancake choices (Nutella), greek yogurt and granola, juices. Friendly staff, rooms were super clean and the staff was very attentive . Short car ride to Fira and Oia. We spent some days at the beaches and one day with caldera yachting on a sunset sail (which we HIGHLY recommend) The hotel is in the most perfect location, you can get every where relatively quickly. It is away from the hustle bustle and very peaceful and serene with the most amazing sunrises. The spa has great therapists and treatments as well. The beds were so comfortable and the showers had great water pressure and cold and hot water that never ran out. We travelled with three children. There are not enough stars to rate how amazing this hotel/villa is - amazing!

This property is beautiful and is very well maintained. The staff here are amazing! The location is a bit remote, about 10 minutes drive from Fira, but offers a peaceful atmosphere with great amenities.
I would like to send out a special shoutout to both Michael at the front desk and Argyris, the hotel driver. Michael was always professional and always willing to help in booking excursions and transportation and made good recommendations. Argyris was absolutely amazing!!!! His level of professionalism, strong work ethic and patience, sets him apart from the rest of the staff. He has a paternal effervescence that makes you feel safe and well cared for.

The room was nice, however the service was really poor. We got a private villa (for privacy...)
Firstly, the worker would come into the garden and walked by the pool whilst we were there. Secondly, instead of knocking on the door to speak to us, he would go into the neighbouring villa and talk over the hedge to ask us questions. Bearing in mind we were dress inappropriately so found it very disturbing. Due to the poor sewage system (I assume) the sinks in the room were extremely smelly (like a rotten egg) we complained multiple times until they decided to come and attempt to clean it - but the smell was still present. Overall the room was nice, but smelly and the service was poor. If it was only a few hundred for the stay it wouldn't be bad, but when you pay 1k+ it's very disappointing. We also mentioned it was our anniversary but no efforts were made - not expecting anything, but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated.

We had a dreamy time at desiterra. What a beautiful hotel! Perfect to disconnect and relax. We particularly enjoyed how competent, kind and helpful the Spa staff were!
Staff are kind and friendly.
The views that we had from our villa was the best of all, but as soon as you get inside of the villa you get that bad smell from the bathroom sewer, the breakfast is nightmare not a lot of choices and even with what they offer a probably a 5 years old will cook better. To get to the property is another story, the roads are dangerous and no light or sign to the property except I believe at the beginning of the main road.
Very hospitable and accommodating staff . Very nice views from the villas and privacy in the villas.
