Front of house received me with a real warm welcome . The hotel iticks all the boxes

Location was perfect . Hot water shower . Front of house staff were incredibly professional

Convenient location and good value for money
Pros:

Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Some items of minor repair and maintenance in the room, eg bathroom door was hard to shut properly and shower handle was not properly attached, however shower could still be used.

Pleasant international style hotel
Pros:

The attraction of this hotel is the proximity to the sea, albeit with a massive dual carriageway between building and ocean, and easy access to the airport. It is also a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the old town of Cartagena. The rooms are fine and it is pretty easy to take Ubers around and about. I really liked the little restaurants and bars right next door - much cheaper of course than eating and drinking at the Ibis itself. The beach was fine but the sea was pretty rough - I found that my 'swimming' was confined to diving into the breakers.

Cons:

I'm not sure if the rooms were value for money. The hotel has something like 18 floors - it's a little corporate. But it's a reliable option. This is nothing to do with Ibis, but I took the Five Islands tour and would give it 5/10. I envisaged lots of swimming in clear blue seas but in fact it was a more regimented than that and a lot of the time I suspected I was being held captive to various people trying to get me to spend money. But don't take my word as law - I reckon the younger you are (ie 18-30) the more likely you are to think the whole thing is a blast. But don't go if you get seasick!

Buern hotel
Pros:

Un buen hotel.
La habitación es pequeña pero cómoda y con todo lo necesario.
El desayuno, bastante variado y bueno.
Muy bonito que está frente al mar.

Cons:

La zona no es tan caminable ni céntrica, pero es cercana al centro en taxi

Pros:

Hotel cómodo, ideal para poder trabajar mientras se viaja. Baño con agua caliente. Aire acondicionado en la habitación. Escritorio para trabajar, tanto en la habitación como en el lobby.

Cons:

El aire acondicionado botaba agua, por lo que era necesario tener una toalla todo el tiempo en la entrada del baño, y ello generaba que la madera de la puerta estuviera un poco echada a perder. De la ducha era fácil que saliera el agua, por lo que el baño quedaba siempre mojado.
