Hotel is supposed to be non smoking. Guests are requested to smoke either on ground level outside the hotel or on top floor where there is an open area. However it appears this restriction does not apply to some in Management who use room 610 for their smoking breaks. The whole 6th floor stinks like a chimney.
I spent 8 nights at Palms and it was an amazing time despite the 3 days Cyclone challenges.
The staff and management were warm and nice. A good place to stay if you want to be in the center to acess all location, both for business and leisure: Off the beach.
Good location at the center of Mauritious. Nice breakfast at the top with beautiful view. The price is a little high for this three stars hotel.

I didn't like the showers,they need some attention and the breakfast also needs some improvement.
Helpful staff, great food - only negative is the wi-fi connectivity which was very unstable
Thé check in was very fast and the service excellent. The mattress needs to be changed and the toilets were not cleaned proberly

The Hotel was OK, but the Restaurants wasn't good at all. The restaurants are not part of hotel, so every time you need to pay. Hotel only caters for French speaking people as all T.V channels are in French.
Nice hotel. Location of the Hotel is good and nearby to bus stop/ taxi stand, market, bank and post office. facilities and cleanliness was good. Food is not very good. Staff of the hotel is okay.
Recommended for families also.
Great value for money! It was a little out of the way of the restaurants etc, but as taxis are so cheap and plentiful it wasn't an issue.

The hotel service and facilities are bad, they do not have room service, breakfast options are very less and bad, do not have basic amenities like dental kit, shampoo, lotion etc. Overall it is not worth paying so much and you are not getting good service. NO VALUE FOR MONEY

This place is amazingly over-rated... From the experience of dealing with young male staff who have no idea (or have never been told) what a regular shower means (i.e. they stink); to the poor frustrated cleaner, who when asked, admitted that for two consecutive days there was no shampoo and/or shower gel to put in the rooms (that is why she was leaving miniature bath foam bottles in the shower)... When told about this, the Manager simply shrugged her shoulders... One suspects, only the shortage of accommodation in the area ensures that the place gets booked!
The window wouldn't seal shut, allowing in all kinds of street noise. The safe wouldn't work initially until I called staff to install batteries. The area is kind of a dump, and there is no convenient small grocery store or mart within 5 min walking distance, so you feel a bit captive inside the hotel.

Wifi worked in room and public area but was not super fast so VoIP was not great. Easy access off the M2 with underground parking and a nice roof top patio
Hotel was new as they said they started business in 2016 - we were there in October.
Plus points- centrally located, convenient if you want to travel in any radial direction. New establishment and clean. Bar on 12th floor is nice.
Minuses- the restaurant in hotel is Chinese. If you like other type of foods you have to go out. We did not go to hotel restaurant at all.
Staff are good but need more experience. We had cleaning rags left in the room and bathroom couple of times by the maids. Coffee/tea filling was not consistent, we got filling every second day. If the management is trying to save money that is the most ridiculous way of saving. Leaves bad impression on customer. I wanted to check in online and wanted front desk staff to help. They did not know how or what that meant. They instead called air Mauritius and wanted me to talk to them. I had to go to a friend and check in myself.
