We have known this property since the early beginnings. First time was in 2015. We saw several managers come and go.
This month, the hotel was reopened by a lovely British/Tanzanian couple and they are here to stay.
It has only 12 rooms and you have a great view. Garden is beautiful and chickens are running around. This is a place where you can really relax.
The rooms are big and clean. Aircon is working well and you have a fridge in the room. The pool area is just fantastic. The new staff is very friendly.
Breakfast is very good. You have a lot of different options you can choose from.
Chicken curry and enchiladas are highly recommended for lunch or dinner. The South African white wine for 25 bucks per bottle is excellent. Local beers cost 4 bucks.
Compared to other nearby accommodations, it has a very good price/value ratio. The best Italian restaurant in the whole of Zanzibar is also just 150 metres away.
Kiwengwa Beach is amazing and it is a short walk to the sandbank when there is low tide.
The hotel will be renamed shortly and is not on booking dot com yet so if you want to explore this paradise yourself, drop them an email or WhatsApp.

Arrived to find hotel closed. The operating skipped out…talked to the owner of the property and he offered for us to stay with no staff onsite, but we rebooked immediately into the near by Melia.
The staff are amazing and provide really good service + clean everything regularly and thoroughly! Pool area was beautiful and restaurant staff always very polite and accommodating. Manager was always helpful and polite - very approachable and involved.
The hotel itself was disappointing: toilet seat was broken and the actual toilet was loose from the floor. Mosquito nets around the beds and at the windows had holes in it. Some of the lights were missing light bulbs. Barely any closet space. Food at the restaurant was average and not worth the prices.
We are from South Africa and are familiar with loadshedding, but we had not expected to experience it overseas too - at least not in a hotel that you're paying to stay at.
Thanks for a fantastic holieday in heaven.we enjoyed the friendly staff especialy Frank the daly manager who was very charming.the rooms vhere clean and comfertable. The view are amazing and the pool was clean and nice.we enjoyed everything.we are already planning our next holieday there.

L'hotel ha poche camere molto ampie estremamente pulite e curate. La nostra era vista mare con letti immensi. Lo staff è gentilissimo, il direttore anticipa ogni richiesta con cortesia e sollecitudine. La piscina è molto pulita, la spiaggia privata si raggiunge con una scalinata, è dotata di grandi lettini in legno e asciugamani forniti dall'hotel. È possibile ordinare e consumare all'ombra dei tavolini anch'essi in legno e paglia.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura dal 13 al 19 agosto.Struttura bella,con bel giardino,a circa 2-3 minuti dal mare. Piccolo bar sulla spiaggia con lettini disponibili per gli ospiti. Colazione buona anche se poco varia.
L’accueil et le personnel, très à l'écoute, ils ont tout fait pour qu’on passe des beaux moments et aussi la piscine et l’environnement tranquille.
La cuisine qui reste à améliorer.

Although the hotel is close to the beach, the stairs provided are not very practical and could be challenging for some guests.
The hospitality was excellent. We received help with everything we asked for, we received recommendations even without asking. There was a warm and respectful attitude. I highly recommend the hotel for both the price and the service we received.

It was wonderful!! Top class service from frank, the hotel manager, and the staff were very friendly and polite and helpful.
Any problem we had was solved in no time.
Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit car l’hôtel ne correspondait pas à nos attentes, mais le temps où nous sommes restés nous avons apprécié l’amabilité et la gentillesse du personnel.
Le plus gros bémol pour nous était de devoir traverser un village et marcher à pied pendant quelques minutes pour se rendre à la plage. Nous nous sommes sentis mal à l’aise de devoir traverser pour rejoindre l’océan.
La nourriture n’était pas à notre goût, et le lit n’était pas très confortable. Il y a des petites bêtes sur la moustiquaire.
