A very elevated experience, this is the second time I have stayed there. The restaurant staff was especially wonderful.
Lovely and lively lobby, restaurants and rooftop.
Room stylish and bed was very comfortable. High water pressure and hot water was HOT.
Appreciate well behaved pets being so welcome. Gulch dog park is a small but fun little strip of bark with rock features within 2 blocks by a parking lot that has lots of grass.
Best cheese omelette with Hollandaise I’ve actually ever had for breakfast. Homemade cinnamon bun looked amazing too.
Room service is from the on site restaurant and the signature burger was tasty and a good value with a double patty. Crispy Brussels sprouts were delicious.
EV chargers available with valet service.
Hate the concept of Destination Fees in general and the Thompson does charge one.
Exceptional customer service from arrival to departure. The valet manager went above and beyond to help us, we appreciate his kindness. Food and beverage offerings are wonderful and served with a side of southern hospitality! Room amenities were nice. Comfortable and quiet room. It is a bit farther from downtown than expected but still walkable in nice weather. Boutique shopping and restaurants nearby. Overall great hotel experience!
This was actually our second night in Nashville. We only changed from a much nicer hotel because we thought this one too would be nice and we wanted to experience it. Upon arrival, things seemed OK. I was promised that a small fridge would be brought to my room so that I could store my medicine and check
-in went mostly smooth. Once we got to the room though we were slightly disappointed in the overall furnishings. The negatives for us were the fridge was never delivered to my room, the toilet had plumbing issues and had to be manually snaked by someone in engineering and it still didn’t want to flush well after that. Also, the carpet in the hallways, especially if you looked at it in the morning when the sun was coming in at an angle you could tell how disgusting and old or unclean that it was in the hallways. This was probably considered one of the best rated hotels via Google/Amex Travel application on our entire road trip and to be honest it was probably the worst hotel we stayed in.
It’s gorgeous. High end and in The Gulch - an upscale neighborhood. Only valet or public parking but the valets were truly amazing guys. Ice is in plastic bags and easy on the floor we stayed on. Filtered water. Wonderful bar in the room. Awesome view. Easy walking stance to roadway bars and nightlife as well as the country music hall of fame - definitely worth the tour cost and the visit. Very high end shopping and excellent restaurants nearby. The Dove Daughters bakery was so good but get there early they sell out.
Really nothing to complain about at all. Only that don’t expect to access your car. There is no hotel parking only valet.
Very nice hotel, very clean, and excellent customer service across the board in all departments. Would definitely recommend!
I CAN’T praise this experience enough! I hope I have enough room to say all that I have to say about the wonderful experience me and my family had staying at The Thompson Hotel in Nashville.
From the time we checked in with the wonderful welcome and experienced that Charlotte, at the front desk, provided. A Plus!! and she showed that same level of hospitality and first rate experience the entire three days we were there..
The room was a typical two bed city view room that was perfect for our stay. We had put a do not disturb on our door to not clean it and we received a text asking if we were sure about that and if we needed anything, let the hotel know. I love it. Customer service at its best.
The hotel restaurant called the Marsh House is a place I highly recommend. The food and service was 5 star. Jack, Izzy and Kate were wonderful. Thank you for the over the top service They made the dining experience fantastic.
Last but not lease, the pet friendly environment for our four legged family member was the best. In the room we were welcomed with a dog treats poo. poo bags, and water and food bowls. The hotel is very dog friendly in that they don’t charge a pet deposit when you check in.. Most hotels charge a pet fee even if your pet does not do any damage to the room. I am sure The Thompson Hotel will charge if there is damage.. I like that they may charge you if your pet does damage and not just because you have your pet with you
So, thank you for reading my long post but I need you to book your next stay at the Thompson Hotel in Nashville and eat at the Marsh House. Ask for Izzy or Jack. you will not be disappointed.!!
Beautiful hotel, five star Customer Service, fabulous rooftop bar, amazing restaurant, the rooms overdeliver, perfect location in the Gulch
The check in process is smooth and easy. The front desk lady is very nice and helpful! We stayed many 5 star hotels around the world. I must say this hotel’s bedding and mattress are one of the best! We also enjoyed the restaurant and the coffee shop. We enjoyed our stay when we explored Nashville.
We had such a great stay! Everyone was so kind and helpful. It was beautiful, clean, and the restaurants/room service/coffee shop were amazing. Kavid was especially helpful and made our kids feel so welcomed. Thanks for everything!
My husband and I stayed one night at the Thompson in Nashville. We had booked it through the American Express fine hotels, and resorts program. We booked a king room. We received an upgrade to a city view king room. I was very appreciative that they were able to get me an allergen free room and accommodate me with a fan in the room. Breakfast was yummy and easy to stay in the $30/pp FHR breakfast credit. I do wish there were a few healthy options. We were in the mood to indulge so it was fine but on. a given day, the majority of choices are too rich. We didn’t have time to use the $100 dining credit so used it on a few to go items from the coffee shop. Customer service throughout the hotel was wonderful. I loved that each floor had water filling stations. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Water pressure was good and I love DS & Durga products! Can’t wait to book another stay soon!
Excellent customer service . Our weekend trip to Thompson Nashville was far beyond our expectations !! Check in was smooth and informative . A huge shoutout to Kavid at reception who greeted us at check in with the warmest of smiles and cheerful personality and made us feel welcome . The room was very spacious and offered a nice view of the “Gulch” and its surrounding environs . The food in the lobby restaurant Marsh House was very good and is a must try if staying there .
We definitely would stay here again !! Thanks to Kavid and the Thompson team for an excellent stay .
10/10
Had a wonderful one night stay at the Thompson Nashville. The front desk staff Kavid and Shaulette were absolutely incredible. I travel a lot for work and they were the best front desk staff I’ve come across in a very long time. The valet was also excellent there was always someone at the desk and it took less than five minutes each time to get our car. As a globalist the breakfast at the Marsh House was included the restaurant is beautiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel not just because it’s a stunning property but because of the outstanding staff.
We came for a friends 50th the first weekend in December and had the best time!! We loved the Thompson. The restaurant was our very FAVORITE. The bartenders were the reason we kept going back. Emily, Eli, and Jay were truly the best! The service they provided was TOP NOTCH! It was our favorite hang out in Nashville because of them! Can't wait to go back! And if you in the area don't miss the Thompson Lobby Bar!
We had a great checkin, loved the room but the help from the front desk was sorely lacking when it came down to it. When we checked in we were told that despite our Amex status we would not be getting a complimentary upgrade because we had booked “the nicest suite in the hotel” 😁. What a nice surprise my husband had planned! Our room was lovely, well laid out and nicely appointed.
We enjoyed the bar upstairs and in the downstairs restaurant. Unfortunately the technology in our room did not work. We had a technician come to help our first night (which took about 30 mins). We tipped him well for his help which was appreciated. On the second night we had the same issue. When we called down to the front desk we were told that tech assistance had left so there was no help available until the next day. That was frustrating but fine, until the front desk told us that they “could have helped us if we’d contacted {them} earlier”, she then proceeded to yell at me. We were in their bar, spending money at that time. Apparently we should have been checking their work? I understand that sometimes there is no help available but the implication that it was our fault was frustrating to say the least. For what we paid we did expect that the technology in the room would work which I think is reasonable and the nasty response to our reasonable complaints was unfounded.
As nice as our room was, not sure I’d stay here again with no expectation that the technology in the room would be in working condition and no ability to expect that the staff would be kind and courteous if it isn’t.
The Thompson Nashville is a beautiful hotel. I was met by Diego out front. That was a great start to my stay. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I used a free night certificate and the Amex Fine Hotels credit on succeeding nights. The Thompson handled this seamlessly. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Their food was outstanding. I highly recommend the Scottish Salmon, Mussels, and Chicken & Waffles. The room was beautiful and very functional. I also enjoyed the gym. My only negatives are the lack of a lounge, the cost of parking, and the location.
