Purple Garden Hotel

Small room, clean bed. All towels are clean but old, worn out. You will need to hand in the room key every time you leave the hotel. The location is convenient access to MTR in couple minutes walk.

台北駅から徒歩10分というアクセスの良さ。大都会の真ん中にあるのに宿泊費が安いです。
こじんまりとしているものの、内装がお洒落で都会的です。
フロントの方たちみな感じがよくて癒やされます。
設備はところどころひび割れていたり、お湯が出るまで時間がかかったりしますが、問題ないかと。
立地もあって外の音は結構聞こえますので、安眠したい方は耳栓推奨です。
また台北に来ることがあったら泊まりたいホテルです。

何しろ中山駅地下街からすぐなので立地は最高です。駅からもそんなに歩く感じはありません。スタッフも皆さん親切で感じがいいです。問題点は部屋に設置されていたドライヤーがすぐに止まってしまうこと。壁が薄いのか窓の作りが悪いのか夜中中ずっと結構大きな話し声が聞こえていたこと。

寝るだけなら最低限揃っている。
近くにはコンビニなどがあり買い物するにも便利だった。

The hotel is in a great location, the staff are friendly but the rooms need refurbishment and the lift is very slow.

施設が古いのは否めないが、掃除はきちんとされており、フロントスタッフはとてもフレンドリーで良かった。中山R地下街出口を出て正面にホテルがあるので遅い時間でも安全に帰る事ができ、またコンビニも直ぐ横にあるのでとにかく便利だった。近くにはローカルなカフェやレストラン、歩いて５分もかからずに誠品生活や三越デパートもあり、ショッピングにグルメに何かと困らなかった。徒歩でもMRTに乗っても、台北東西南北どこへでもアクセスしやすく、付近には遅くまでやっているマッサージ店も沢山あるので遅くまで台北ライフを楽しむ事ができた。日本人的な手厚いサービスを求める者には向いていないが、ある程度旅慣れているのであればコストパフォーマンスも良くおすすめの宿泊先である。

このホテルが台湾メトロ台北駅〜中山駅へと続く地下道の途中にあり、最後はエレベータで目の前まで来られるので、とにかく便利でした。
部屋は少し古いので、気になる方は気になると思いますが、滞在中、めいっぱい遊んで寝に戻るだけ、というのであればOKかと。レンタサイクルのU-BIKEの駐輪場も近くにあって、これで移動すると最高です。
ホテルの裏には朝６時から開いている有名な小吃店もあり、朝ご飯も大満足だし、コンビニも隣です。

Very tired and dated. Thin towels, hot water took forever to arrive. Location was good though...

味道很臭，有股狐臭味
鑰匙竟然不能隨身帶，要放在櫃台，然後櫃檯沒人就沒辦法回房間，很扯。
絕對不會再考慮這家，爛死了

地點交通便利

Room and security is not good so much, but stuff were very kind and warm. It is enough to sleep and spend for a few days.

The staff is friendly, special the man

Not sure how this hotel got quite a few 5 star reviews but our experience was far from it. We didn’t even stay the full 5 nights that we booked due to the stiff, squeaky bed and musty smell in the room. Also, the AC barely blew cold and unable to connect to WiFi from our room.

Ultimately I’m rating 1 star because management refused to refund the 3 nights that we did not use (we had no issue paying for the 2 nights we did stay). Usually hotels compromise as goodwill gesture, but Purple Garden unfortunately did not. We ended up staying at a different 3 star hotel and the quality and comfort was 10x better.

Stay here if you want to deal with a sore back from the stiff beds, warm AC, and mosquitoes biting you in the room. There is a strong musty smell and the room looks very outdated. This is NOT 3 star hotel. It’s like staying at a motel. Booked for 5 nights, checked out after 2 nights. Property refused to refund the unused nights. Stayed at a different 3 star property and the difference is astounding. So glad we checked out early.

Service was outstanding. Staff was wonderful. However the fact that you have to shower in three inches of water and the air conditioning literally made me ill (very obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a decade) took away from the experience. The location is premier, right by an MRT stop and walking distance from Taipei Main Station. If you don’t care about comfort at all, its perfect.

All of staffs are very kind. I love the elevator. It's really classic. Cosy and comfortable. It will be more grateful if the air conditioning and heating system works well.

スタッフは非常に親切で好感が持てる。残念ながら施設は及第点に及ばず。隣りの部屋の音が丸聞こえ。また、ホテル内の飲食施設は無い。
中山地下街がら至近で、地下街経由中山駅迄は徒歩5分程度。朝食は徒歩1〜2分の四海豆漿大王で。

地點很方便

台湾の定宿にしています。コロナ明け、久しぶりに訪台し、宿泊したら一階の一部がテナントになっていました。建物はそれなりに年数が経ち、古びてはいますが、なにせ地下鉄出入り口から近いし、徒歩数分で中山駅まで行ける、立地は最高です。美味しい朝ご飯屋さんから、ディンタイフォンまで、買い物にも困らない場所。スタッフの方も親切だし、言う事ありません。台湾での買い物（捜し物）で困り、フロントの方に相談してみたらとても丁寧に教えて頂きました。また、次回、訪台の時にもお世話になります。いつまでも、あって欲しいホテルの一つです。

Pros:
- bathroom was decently sized
- bed was fairly comfortable
- big desk to work at
- really convenient location; super close to the Zhongshan mrt, very close to family mart, very close to some good restaurants, pretty close to shopping malls

Cons:
- toiletries were small packets that are kind of junk to use
- the room smelt terrible. Needed to buy an air freshener to help with the smell
- key had to be returned to the front desk
- no power remained on when you left the room, so you could not charge anything; wifi did stay on
- slowest lift on earth
