Pros:

It was a unique experience. The hotel is in an island and can only be accessed by boat. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. It was a definite must see but it was kind of eery to be the only ones staying there in the middle of a lake. The room and hotel had everything we needed but hot water. Thats the only reason i gave it a 3 star overall. The food was good and it was a good experience.

Pros:

We had a nice stay overall. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. There wasn't any hot water, but that was only an issue with showering. But not having hot water was pretty common throughout Nicaragua.

Beautiful...but lacking water.
Pros:

The location of this hotel is stunning. The view from our room was breathtaking and the room itself was amazing. However, during our stay the hotel was experiencing plumbing issues and there was no running water in the room and no other open rooms had functioning plumbing. Staff brought up water to flush toilets and wash our hands. A shower would have been welcomed after the long hot day. I was disappointed no discount was provided as we were unable to fully use the facilities in the room. I would still return again (as long as the water is functional).

Great place but FULL BOARD option MISLEADING
Pros:

Positive: Very nice property in a lovely location; kayaks and paddle boards available free of charge, clean comfortable rooms, hot showers with strong water pressure, good breakfast
Negative: We booked a room with full board but were told upon arrival that the hotel did not even offer full board, that just breakfast was included. Hotels.com needs to look into this issue!! Water in both pools had an oily surface, not entirely clean.
