Best hotel in Tunis downtown

Pros:

The property was in a great central location and close to everything we needed. The gentleman who checked us in at reception was lovely, very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

One thing that bothered me was an interaction my husband had with a member of staff at breakfast she worked there. He had simply asked a few questions about the food and coffee machine, but she then began commenting on how lucky he was to be out of Tunisia and how she was still there working. I felt this was an inappropriate and unprofessional conversation to have with a guest, and it left me feeling uncomfortable.

Fantastic location on the edge of the Medina on Place du France. Overlooking Porte du France.
Beautiful hand painted and wooden doors and ceilings. Full of character. Good varied breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
