Great stay in spacious room in good location
Pros:

Fantastic location, room was spacious, staff were very friendly, the pool was lovely and refreshing, they even prepared breakfast and coffee for us at 6.30am because we were departing at 7am.

The outdoor is beautifully decorated, the amenities were a +, however the bathroom needs work.

The outdoor decor was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. The fact that it included parking was a +++. The room was spacious.

Cons:

The bathroom requires a lot of maintenance. First, they have a rat problem, we found lots of dropping near the sink plus other black grain, unsure what that is. Second the shower head sprays water to all directions except the person under. Lastly, the cabinets were falling off the hinges.

Nice for a short stay. Good location.
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely. The room was comfy enough but WiFi in the rooms is very limited. Also, the rooms didn't have anything in the kitchen - not even glasses for water. Pool is beautiful.

Posto piacevole, l'accoglienza e la cordialità del personale non manca.
Pros:

L'accoglienza è stata veloce e senza problemi, con uno staff sempre sul pezzo e piacevole. Camera ben pulita, letto comodo e non manca la sensazione generale di un posto gestito come si deve, dove ci si rilassa. Colazione di qualità.

Er komen groepen met jongeren via een organisatie. Misschien toevallig toen wij er waren. Pas op met ijs in je drinken bij het ontbijt, dit komt uit de kraan! Het onbijt was Nica alleen Gallo pinto met ei.. jammer

Terrible experience – mold in the room and even worse customer service

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel La Posada Del Sol, and this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.

We checked in, left our luggage and went out to explore the city. When we returned in the evening and actually spent some time in the room, we discovered extensive visible mold on the ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom. I have attached photos so you can see the condition for yourself.

We immediately informed the hotel. Considering that mold is a serious concern, we obviously did not want to spend the night in that room. The hotel could not provide us with another room, so we asked them to cancel our reservation through Booking.com. We hadn't even spent a single night there. They refused.

What happened afterwards was even worse. After we contacted Booking.com, the hotel became extremely defensive and started making accusations against us, including claiming that we had broken the toilet seat and left the room in a terrible condition. The toilet seat was already broken when we arrived, and we had barely spent any time in the room.

One of their own employees was even inside the room with us when we showed him the mold, and he raised absolutely no concerns about the condition in which we had left the room.

Instead of simply acknowledging the mold problem and handling the situation professionally, they chose to blame us and refuse a refund. We therefore had to leave at night and find another place to stay.

I have travelled to around 70 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels and accommodations around the world, and I have rarely experienced such a combination of unacceptable room conditions and terrible customer service.

The photos speak for themselves. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.
