Raymond Hotel

I’ll start with the only good thing there was — location.
Apart from that, it was the worst experience ever. It’s definitely NOT a 4 star hotel.
The room was fine but the bathroom wall had a giant rusty spot.
Breakfast was awful. Cheapest spaghetti, cheese and ham, plastic apples, no good coffee, no good bread.
But the worst experience was with the receptionist. She didn’t find our request for early check in so we had to wait with a baby from 8am to 2pm to get checked in. The receptionist Zarina wasn’t even trying to help or even pretend to do so. She wasn’t able to book us a late check out so I had to buy another night at the hotel just to make sure I could stay there for a couple of hours before our flight home.
Zarina also kept calling me to say she forgot something while I was at an event with my family.
I cannot believe how bad the service is!
I guess Neo Tasigo is the only good 4 star hotel in Kazan; I should’ve stayed there as usual.

Хороший отель в центре. Чисто, опрятно. Есть необходимые гигиенические наборы. Не хватает только ватных палочек. Завтраки так себе. Отличный SPA. За свои деньги - хорошо!

Отель неплохой, в центре. Тихо и уютно, требует небольшого ремонта номерной фонд, на двуспальной кровати два матраса, что не есть комфортно. Завтрак для 4 звезд скромный.

Останавливался в этом отеле с женой на новогодние праздники. Очень понравились отель и ресторан при отеле. Очень часто заказывали еду из ресторана в номер, что было очень удобно, не приходилось ломать голову, куда идти, чтобы поесть. Отель отлично расположен. Персонал в отёле очень вежливый и услужливый. Номер хороший, чистый, мебель новая, красивая. Единственное, к чему можно немного придраться, это то, что в нашем номере на кровати были 2 матраса, они периодически разъезжались в стороны, было немного неудобно, приходилось поправлять. Также в нашем номере слабовато работала вентиляция, после принятия душа приходилось открывать окно, чтобы проветрить, иначе в номере становилось душно. Но это мелочи по сравнению со всеми плюсами отеля.

Для деловой поездки все отлично.

Отличный отель, сервис и обслуживание на высоте. Персонал приветливый и доброжелательный. Уютные чистые номера. Расположение отеля отличное, 15 минут пешком от набережной! Завтраки хорошие, все вкусно.

Месторасположение- отличное. Такое тихое место в центре города, приветливый персонал. Номер небольшой, но очень уютный и чем больше ты там, тем больше это понимаешь. оочень удобный матрас. Это не часто бывает. Понравилось, что есть розетка около тумбочки, выключатель верхнего света там же. Чайник в номере- просто великолепно. Очень чисто и все аккуратно. Просто замечательное место. Единственное: халаты в номере размера 48)) Муж размера 50)) но ничего, налез)) и в номере 316 прямо за дверью - видимо, была дырка и так неаккуратно заклеили обоями. Можно было бы и картину какую-либо повесить. А так, я просто в восторге!! Очень всем рекомендую.

Nice, modern and clean hotel next to the city center and major sight-seeings. Very quite.

words cant describe how good this place is ,the staff go out of there way ,the cleaning staff were very helpful and the rooms were spotless .reception staff only to happy to help and the restaurant staff were always helpful, breakfast buffet was great potions of continental and Russian food ,Thanks for a wonderful stay I hope to return soon

We stayed at this hotel after a long week of traveling throughout Russia for the World Cup. On our last night in the country we decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel, and Hotel Raymond exceeded our expectations. Easy check-in with very helpful staff, but the room is what really stood out. It was huge, clean and comfortable. We had a king sized bed that was amazingly soft. The A/C in the room was quiet and cold (which was quite welcome after several sweltering overnight trains). The highlight was the shower. A huge glass shower with consistent water pressure and temperature! We also ate at the attached hotel restaurant/bar, and again we were pleasantly surprised with both the attentiveness of the staff and quality of the food. Highly recommend this hotel. Perfect way to end a trip in Russia.

Hotel Raymond was by far the best place we stayed throughout a little over a week of traveling through Russia for the World Cup. After overnight trains, and apartments without A/C, Hotel Raymond was luxurious and the perfect place for our last night in Russia before flying out at 4am the next day. Hotel staff was pleasant and courteous the entire time we were there. The room was huge, with a super comfortable king size bed. The shower was amazing with consistent water pressure/temperature (a common issue at other places we stayed). Highly recommend Hotel Raymond, and Kazan in general.

Good hotel with super-friendly, english-speakin staff. Rooms were clean and quiet. Location is about ten minutes walk to centrum and fifteen to Kreml. Sure will visit again!

Отель высокого класса. Все на уровне - сервис, завтрак, чистота и удобство. Нареканий нет.

Рекомендую для проживания. Соотношение цены и качества оптимальное. Понравилось все. Прекрасное расположение, близко к Кремлю и центру.

My stay at Raymond Hotel was a pleasant experience. There was a lady at the reception desk who spoke crystal clear English, contrary from what one might expect. She was polite, yet cheerful and seemed sincere. Ordering taxis were easy to and from Kazan Airport (and it is cheap when compared to Moscow and St Petersburg). Room space was a little tight but with all amenities one might expect from a 4 star hotel. Toilet was spacious by European standards. Upon arrival at Raymond Hotel in the evening we were dismayed to find that the restaurant has been booked for a wedding. It was frigid with windchill in the evening but thankfully there is a good cafe right beside the hotel.

Do note that for visitors in winter if you intend to walk to the Kremlin the paths might be perilous; the roads are filled with ice and without extreme focus and concentration the seemingly forgiving 20 minute walk will never be an uneventful one. Also ensure your clothing is accustomed to the temperature as the winds can be merciless and once you are exposed it can turn bitterly cold. Unfortunately there is no metro anywhere near the hotel, so its either a taxi or walk.

Even if the room could have had an extra two feet deep, Hotel Raymond has everything a visitor to Kazan needs without opulence: very confortable beds, high pressure new shower, very attentive staff and well set up breakfast.
