Very clean. Every staff member we encountered was nice and courteous. We were even able to check in early.
Nothing
Overall an excellent experience like every other one we have had. Quick smooth check in clean rooms. Just an excellent environment. all the way around. The room had an excellent view of the race, track and quick easy access to the casino as well. Continental breakfast in the morning always top notch. Will be back soon.
Had a great stay at Hampton Inn at Scioto Downs. Lots to do within a walk of the hotel, and you don't even need to go outside. My wife and I had a great dinner at Guy Fierr's Trattoria restaurant. We also played at the casino and bet on a few races at harness racing. I'm not much of a gambler, but had a great time losing a few bucks.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A significant tip of the cap to Amanda, who runs the breakfast in the mornings. She is super diligent and helpful. Clearly shows pride in her work. She's very soft-spoken, but what a great asset of Hampton Inn!!!
Hampton Scioto Downs everything was wonderful breakfast was good the lady at the check-in was friendly room and place was clean
I rarely write hotel reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience from Memorial Day weekend. While our $149 room had a neat view of the harness racing track and warm-ups, the overall value fell short for a total of $278. The Positives: Seeing the racetrack was a cool experience. Pro tip: you can download the off-track betting app to watch live simulcasts and place bets from the room. The Negatives: Cleanliness: The room was mostly clean, but there were food crumbs under the mounted TV, sticky bathroom floors, and a poorly cleaned tub surround. Track View: The view was heavily obstructed, making it impossible to see the finish line. Surprise Fees: I expected a $50 pet fee for my small dog, but was surprised by an extra $9 in taxes added at checkout, alongside a steep $75.79 "tax recovery fee. "The Bed: The mattress was awful. You could feel the springs poking through, which resulted in zero sleep and an early departure. Breakfast was just okay. Due to the hidden fees and the uncomfortable bed, we will be staying elsewhere next time. Transparency upfront would have made a huge difference.
We arrived at approximately 4pm w booked reservations- our e check-in asked us to check in at front desk. When we attempted to check in and get our room key we were instructed that there were no rooms clean and ready for check in- again this it at 4:00pm, also after being greeted as a Hilton Honors member. The desk clerk offered to store our luggage until a room was available, as we had plans to attend a family gathering in the adjacent building. We agreed and went to family event, returning to get our luggage and room key at 9pm. Once we get to the room we discover the bathroom floor had not been mopped - the floor was sticky, tacky and visible splatter around the toilet that was obviously not cleaned. We declined to call or ask to be moved at this point - due to the time of night and our desire not to pack up and move or to be bothered w house cleaning- we put down towels and later went to bed. In addition - is it too much to ask for a bathroom w a door that closes? We have noticed a trend in hotels to use a sliding door- the door to this room did not even close tightly and had gaps on each end that were not , in my opinion , comfortable at all- especially if we had our children w us. A little privacy for the bathroom would be nice.
If all rooms are designed like this - I will not stay at a hotel like it again.
Rooms very clean and spacious. Convenient to the Casino and Scioto Downs Racetrack. Good food at the Dash Cafe.
Really enjoyed our stay.
No complaints.
Always friendly, helpful and clean. Free breakfast is always hot and kept well stocked.
Quiet, clean room, roomy shower, smart TV, and plenty of pillows.
All was good.
The location was good, with easy access to the connected casino - limited handicapped parking for hotel guests - the spots are filled from late afternoon to late night with casino patrons, therefore unavailable for guests. Our room was a standard, 2 queen bed hotel room, clean and roomy. It did however reek of cigarette smoke - not bad enough to change rooms, but definitely bad enough to notice, and bring home in clothing and suitcases. The walk in shower was very spacious and looked clean, but the floor was extremely slippery, and the doors leaked big puddles of water on the floor - strong diligence needed for handicapped folk! All in all - we had an average room, nice beds, big bath and shower, and great access to casino fun.
Friendly staff. Great location
A little expensive
Great hotel with a great staff. Angela is the best along with Diana and Jason. I look forward to staying there again.
Everything was great!! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Will stay again!!
Great atmosphere with the casino, brewery, and race track within walking distance. Rooms were comfortable and a great value.
We enjoyed our room and its amenities, But when my wife laid on the bed, she noticed a very distasteful odor rising from the comforter. I don't know how often the comforters are laundered; I would hope after every visit since everyone brings their own peculiar scent into the room and it will stay on the comforter welcoming the next guest with unpleasantness instead of satisfaction.
