Great Coastal Hotel
Pros:

Delphines is a great spot to relax, surf, hang at the beach or pool, and eat some great food in the upstairs restaurant overlooking the Pacific. Luis was great with board and wetsuit rentals. Everything was super clean and everyone was very friendly.

Pros:

Great stay at Los Delfines, excellent service, the restaurant has great food, overall our stay was very enjoyable. Their pool is fun and the beach is right across.

Great Stay in Chicama!
Pros:

Excellent mid range hotel to surf at chicama. They have a boat service to take you to the wave twice a day and great surfing service. The restaurant is good food with good service. The included breakfast is excellent. The staff is super friendly both in the restaurant and in the reception. This is no luxury hotel. The rooms are very basic but they are clean and relarively comfortable and a great spot to get into the waves.

Pros:

Great location. But do not pay extra for the upgraded room - example, the suite that offers the big bathtub. It looks like a nice bathtub, except that the water comes out soooooo slowly it would take days to fill up - making it unusable. The bathtub had a layer of dust all around it, so clearly it was unusable for previous tenants as well.
The dining room is nice - if you're there during the "correct" hours. Otherwise, don't expect to get a beer or a glass of wine. No one is there and everything is locked. And when you go to the front desk to ask, they look at you like you're crazy.
The best part of the stay was the bartender from Venezuela. He was lovely and interesting to talk to. He introduced us to another Venezuelan couple who live down the road. And the wife makes the best brownies!!!

opposite the beach, clean and tidy accommodation
Pros:

We stayed here for 4 nights and the stay was pleasant and comfortable. The breakfasts were plentiful and good....fresh juice, eggs, bread, fruit and tea and coffee.
The weather wasn't the best while we were there so we didn't get to use the pool.
