It was a fine hotel but just felt oddly cold.
Pros:

The location was a definite plus. It was centrally located.

Cons:

The hotel lobby and hallways seemed quite dark. The snacks provided were rather lackluster

Great location and shower facilities
Pros:

The location is exceptional - 8 min walk to MRT, surrounded by street art, coffee shops, restaurants and boutique stores, and just a short stroll away from the main Ximending streets, street vendors, shopping malls and the popular tattoo street.

We arrived early and they allowed us to check in without additional fee and were very friendly and helpful at reception and via whatsapp, also sending us recommendations for local eateries and things to do. The room was clean and balcony was nice enough, with an incredible shower. There is evidence of water damage in the room but the room and hotel was clean so this did not have any impacts on the stay, and there was no damp smell or mustiness. The balcony doors and windows are double glazed with minimal to no sound coming from outside once these are closed, although you may hear your room neighbour shower but this was not disruptive. Cleaning is available after 3 days when requested or under 3 days for a fee, and you self service for fresh towels or toilet paper as needed. The laundry facilities were easy to use and the complimentary snacks enjoyable.

This is not a 5 star venue which you pay for all inclusive service, set your expectations and you will be very comfortable here. The location was worth staying for and the price average to the area, I would stay again.

Cons:

The room has water damage along the walls and ceiling which has been cleaned and patched, the aircon is freezing throughout the hotel although you can turn it off in your room, the room is small although this is normal for hotels in Taipei, and the emergency exit lighting cannot be turned off in the room so half of the room is lit up at all times (included photo of what it looks like at 1am).

Overall, comfortable stay at a great location.
Pros:

Location. Right at the heart of Ximending, lots of amenities within a short walk.

Cons:

Lighting is rather dim in rooms. Only the bed area is well lit. The TV+desk area has no light. It’s a strain on the eyes.

Great stay in Ximen
Pros:

Great location and somehow very quiet at night despite being in Ximen. Free snacks and drinks were a nice touch. Giant window in our room. Very comfy bed and luxe bedding.

Cons:

Self-service rubbish clearance. Check-in was a bit awkward as later than most places and desk unattended when we turned up.

Favourite place in my whole trip in Taiwan!
Pros:

Loved this place and my room so much. Perfect location, close to everywhere, including public transportation options. As close as it is to everywhere, the hotel and room are really quiet and peaceful. Really friendly and helpful staff, super comfortable room and bed with everything you need for a perfect stay.
Snacks and water/juice/coffee/tea really lovely bonus. Had a great bday stay! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Pros:

The place was okay overall and generally clean enough for a short stay. Location was convenient, and if you go in with realistic expectations, it’s manageable.

Cons:

We were told we could only get a one-hour late check-out if we left a 10/10 review and showed proof, which felt uncomfortable. After that hour, we were charged extra. This made the reviews feel unreliable. The room was smaller than it looks in photos, and small details—like only one chair on the balcony—were odd. Cleanliness was acceptable but not to a high standard. Guests are expected to take out their own trash, and housekeeping is only included after three days—if you stay more than that, you have to pay extra. Even basics like water aren’t replenished unless you go and get them yourself. Overall 7.5-8

這次入住整體體驗真的很好，房間非常乾淨整齊，空間也比預期中還要舒適，床很好睡，一覺到天亮。地點位置也很方便，附近吃的東西很多，生活機能很好。櫃檯人員服務態度親切，有問題都會耐心協助，讓人感覺很安心，下次來這附近一定會再選擇入住。
