Pros:

Отличный отель в центре Тулы, интерьеры в стиле барокко-рококо, все чрезмерно и богато. Если бы было более тонко, то фишки бы не было. В номере все новое, свежий ремонт. Завтрак заказываться заранее - выбор из трёх вариантов: английский, французский и ещё какой-то. Мы выбрали английский - было очень пересолено, сосиски обычные, ничего сверх, завтрак не понравился. Если делать завтрак а-ля карт, можно сделать его реально хорошим, а так это единственное что не понравилась.

Provincial gem
Pros:

Provincial hotels can be a bit of a hit and miss in Russia. There are some real dives out there, but every once and a while you trip across a real gem. The Turgenev is one of them, albeit with a bit of rococo decor. We were at Yasnaya Polyana, Tolstoy's estate, a couple years earlier, and drove all the way back to Moscow rather than frequent the hotels nearby. If we had known about the Turgenev we probably would have driven into Tula and made a weekend of it.

It has a great central location within easy walking distance of the Kremlin and other sights, a helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a good restaurant. One point of advice. When you check in, they offer you a selection of three different breakfasts. There was a whole list of food underneath each of the three choices, and we figured in the morning we would pick among them. Instead we got ALL OF THEM. A croissant and oatmeal and yoghurt and fresh fruit and pancakes and after that I was in a food coma and don't remember what else. All tasty, but each dish would have made for a breakfast in itself. Would suggest an edit.

Excellent service
Pros:

I did not expect it from such a small city as Tula, but this hotel made a great impression on me. We were dinning in the restaurant Turgenev on 20/02/2019. As soon as we entered, we were fascinated by it’s 18-19th century atmosphere. Decorations are incredible. Service was excellent too! I would say the best I have seen in Tula. Food was average, but also good. Nothing special. But the boutique style made a great impression on me.

Быстрое бронирование и вселение. Отель находится в центре города, в шаговой близости от основных достопримечательностей. Удобно наличие парковки, бесплатный wifI. Интерьер как самого отеля так и номеров восхищает. Пересекая порог отеля проходишь в 19 век - это завораживает. Очень хорошо, что номеров не много, поэтому царит семейная, домашняя атмосфера. Завтрак и обслуживание в ресторане так же не оставит равнодушным. Подача,заказанных блюд, быстрая. Персонал доброжелательный.
