Asbestos found in hole in wall
Pros:

Service at this hotel was okay. On our last night we found asbestos coming out of a corner which was really gross. It was late at night and we couldn’t do anything about it.

Room never cleaned,no towels,no breakfast
Pros:

I really wanted to like this place as it had great reviews and the room was nice and big and the staff pleasant enough but it was a let down. We arrived really early and we checked in- we are aware that check in was midday but we asked was it ok and they said yes as they were empty. We were booked from Tuesday to Friday, however at 8.30 on Thursday morning we were awoken by a staff member nearly talking the door off it's hinges saying we must leave as we checked in early. We were confused and said we are booked until Friday and showed her the booking and she left. Not very nice. The other lady on the desk then explained as we checked in early we have to leave early on Friday- that's fine- had it been explained to us on check in. We also had a random man come in to our room to take the serial number of the tv. The write up for the hotel said daily housekeeping and breakfast cooked to order- we didn't have our room cleaned nor towels changed even though they insisted they have our room key each day. We paid extra for a room with breakfast and they didn't offer food to paid out for nothing. It's a shame as it could have been great but the staff couldn't organise a sandwich being made, let alone the running of a hotel.

comfortable and affortable near railway station
Pros:

great for transsiberian travellers. the city center is about 25 minutes walking, so great for the position if your are arriving late by train, less comfortable for visiting the city.

Excellent Hotel For A Night off the Trans Siberia
Pros:

Very close to train station, nice staff, one woman speaks english pretty well. Helpful in terms of knowing bus and marshrutka routes to take to get to various places. Very clean and quiet.Great, full size towels. The wifi signal was not very strong and the speed wasn't very fast. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station, but it is on the opposite side of the tracks from Most of the tourist sites. The walk to the other side is along a major road and not so pleasant (but you can take a bus or trolley there very easily).

Best Lodging Anywhere I've Ever Been
Pros:

Excellent stay. Property new, Many amenities, walking distance to sights and shopping plus to the train station, spacious dorm rooms with large bath for each dorm room, clean and in my opinion the best staff of anywhere I've ever stayed. Tell the staff your need and desire and they immediately accommodate if at all possible. I really hate to leave. Highly recommend this property and suggest if staying in Ulan-Ude to stay here. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so relaxing and comfortable!!
