Hilton Garden Inn Volgograd

My preferable place of stay in Volgograd was Hilton Garden Inn. When I planned my business trip to Volgograd this time on 11-Sep-2023, my choice was the same, despite my business partners asked to choose another hotel to stay.
On arrival to the hotel, we could not check-in for one hour - appr. 11:30 till 12:30. Due to this delay we missed important customer meeting. Receptionist endlessly told us they it was because of IT issues, and they can’t do anything. We asked receptionists to talk to manager to give us a room to change clothes. But manager, as we’ve been told, refused. So, we were unacceptably late in customer’s office.
Choice of food at breakfast was limited. Impression was that staff was not happy to do their job. Were slowly and not polite. Both my colleagues noted the same.
After breakfast, at 8:30 internal construction works started inside the hotel breaching Russian law that prohibits loud works before 9 AM. It was so early and noisy, that I could not suffer any more and started to call reception. Reception phone didn’t answer. I had to come down. Receptionist, her name was Lada, told that she was busy and could not pick up the phone. Hotel manager was not in the hotel yet, as I’ve been told, but she had to come at 9 AM. Receptionist Lada was sorry that she can do nothing about works ongoing…
From 9:00 till 9:15 I was asking Lada to call her manager to come to reception. Finally, Lada gave up and went to call her manager. Manager’s name was Svetlana Kareva. I explained her all the issues happened in Hotel,… but manager Svetlana started to argue against that noise is OK etc..

Trough the last years being there I noted that quality of service in that particularly hotel was deteriorating to the level unexpectable for Hilton brand name. Talking to another guest while waiting for Receptionist’s manager, he also commented that service quality of Volgograd Hilton Garden Inn is not like other Garden Inns in Russia. He said that this hotel is “special” in terms of service quality.

For many years Hilton Garden Inn hotels in Russia were one of the best chain hotels. I wrote couple reviews in past been inspired by attention that Hilton staff always showed up to the guests. I don’t want to believe that this kind of service will spread across Russia. Definitely, I will never ever consider Volgograd Hilton Garden Inn as a place to stay in Volgograd. No more!

The bed was comfortable, and the room very clean. The hotel is well situated and an easy walk to monuments

가성비 높은 곳입니다. 2주정도 묵으니 아침조식이 좀 질리는 느낌이지만 친절하고 좋습니다. 조식해결 주변에서 가능하다면 뺴시고 숙박하시면 최상일듯 합니다.

When you hear "Hilton" and you have previously been to many, this one may disappoint. If you're lucky - everything will run seamlessly, however, we have been unlucky - all 5 of us.
We have spent 3 nights and 3 days at the hotel.
On the first morning, we were brought down by the breakfast: quite small, you cannot self serve the hot food or drinks, the scrambled eggs (a classic hotel breakfast) were finished already at 9 in the morning, the staff tended to disappear now and again...
At least the hot food was hot and pretty delicious, especially the bliny with meat.
That same day, when we came back from a 5 hour morning excursion - exhausted and excited to take a shower and nap before dinner - we couldn't as the towels haven't been replaced and the beds haven't been made. We also couldn't drink tea, as the cups and teabags we used the day before haven't been replaced either, ALTHOUGH we have asked for the rooms to be cleaned in the morning. Obviously, we went downstairs to tell reception AGAIN. The receptionist kindly called up the housekeeper who told us in a quite rude tone that at 7 pm, aka in 15 minutes, her shift was over. She didn't even have the time to clean the lobby, let alone our room. We have very firmly said that it was not our problem that she/the staff couldn't manage their time properly and we demanded the room to be done. When we came back, the towels and tea have been replaced.
Overall, it has a convenient location and nice rooms. However, please, beware that the showers and sinks have issues with hot water!! And that the walls are as thin as paper, so be respectful to your neighbours.
Thank you for this stay, although we expected much more for a Hilton at this price in Volgograd.

Жили 2 ночи. Горничная в номере не убиралась. Нет зуб щёток и пасты. Ресторан на троечку. Еда холодная, разнообразия нет.

Не было мыла в номере, тапочек, зубной щетки. В остальном все отлично.

Замечательный отель, все классно, комфортно продумано, парковка, тц рядом....но до центра лучше на машине. Рекомендую

Good business hotel, not exactly in the center, but with a shopping mall nearby. Breakfast choice is not too wide.

This is a great, affordable hotel in a great location. You can walk to the railway station and many major attractions. The staff were friendly and always helpful. I had no problems communicating to them in English. My room was clean and comfortable and had a view of the city. I got free breakfast as a gold member and it was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Hotel room far exceeded my expectations. I had the room on the 12th floor. Corner view. It’s the size of an apartment. Very clean and modern. Fantastic light. Can’t speak to the other suites but this one was great.

We stayed in Hilton Garden Inn two times this summer. Both were due to my husband's business trips, plus to visit the area during weekends. Both times we really enjoyed our stay.
All the chain hotel features are here in a very proper way. Staff is nice and welcoming. When I had contacted them, without any problem, they merged our bookings (business and personal) so we could stay in one room the whole time. 24-hours check-in is fast and smooth. Bar offers 24-hours servies, as well. The only problem for me was way toooo much air conditioner in the bar. And sometimes during the night hours, they were accepting cash only.
Rooms are up to the standard. Spacious beds, well furnished, recently renovated. Excellent temperature during hot summer nights (more than +30C outside). No complaints.
Location was fine for us. Volgograd has an unusually long and vertical surface, and the hotel is in one minute from metro, short ride to Mamayev Kurgan, and not far from what is considered as a center. In any case, no problem to order an Uber for a quick ride. Shopping center with a large supermarket is also right here.
As Hilton Garden Inn should be, it is a mid-priced hotel. Means excellent value for money.

Great hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice location close to shopping and entertainment. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here.
Hotel staff are English speaking, they were courteous and polite, service was good.

I liked everything, location handy to everything. I only wish that ther would be lots of pamphlets/brochures in the lobby as to where things are and how to get there.

Staff pour english, cleaning service not so good, staff not so kind. Air condition at room and gym didn't work. Elevator without maintainance, i will suggest ti ho Hampton inn not Garden inn in this city
