Pros:

Great location near the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. We had a studio that opened onto the shared pool, which was nice to have in June heat. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. The only minor issues were a couple of wooden doors, one in the bathroom that kept swinging in the way and the other the door into the studio that didn’t seem to close securely. Checking in was a little confusing as there are three different buildings, but staff were helpful in guiding us down the street to our entrance.

Pros:

The music at the pool sounds like a broken record. Or just a drum boom boom- boom boom. Very aggravating! How about some normal Mexican music??? The activities suck. The special meal menu hasn’t changed in years. Otherwise it’s a great place. Very good location.

Beautiful property! The pool area was like a secret garden and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only complaints were that our room was located across the street from a restaurant that was loud at night and that we were unable to relax at the pool for half of our stay since other guests reserved the lounge chairs for the whole day.

Amazing people, amazing property
Pros:

My family had an unexpected lengthy stay at Refugio Del Mar when my father had to have and then recover from a surprise surgery at the nearby hospital while on vacation. It was a very stressful time for our family, and the people at Refugio Del Mar were a true godsend.

The property itself was beautiful, serene, and very comfortable—it made for an ideal place to relax and recover. The accommodations were excellent—rooms are clean and well-appointed, and our unit included a washer/dryer which was very helpful given the length of our stay. And the location is fantastic—walking distance to many great restaurants and the water (including an excellent cafe right across the street!)

But the best part was the people. The entire staff was fantastic—they were very understanding and worked with us on our uncertain and shifting dates, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable the whole time. And they were great with providing local recommendations for food, shops, etc. The whole team really made us feel at home, and we can’t thank them enough.

We highly recommend!

Pros:

The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed at for 5 days was spacious with a big kitchen, fully equipped with a microwave, oven, coffee maker, dishes. It also had 2 large terraces for lounging and entertaining and a huge king sized bed in each bedroom with its own full shower and a washer/dryer. Everything you could ask for plus a living room and kitchen table. We loved it. We stayed at "Casa Mini"

A perfect place to relax
Pros:

It was our third time staying at Refugio Del Mar and we are going back later this month again. The service is impeccable, the location is perfect and the staff is so conscientious! We love Bucerias, it’s calmness and its proximity to PV, Cruz and Sayuritas, punto Mita. When you ask question to the staff about anything, fixing appliance, local restaurants or repair shops, they are already to help you out .

The real gem in the golden zone of Northern Puerto Vallarta , Bahia Banderas bay
Pros:

New built four-star boutique resort in the center of the Golden zone Dorado Nuevo nayurite, Southern Bucerias. Only one block off the beach on the designer street featuring the best little dress stores markets and all of the finer restaurants in the area. Everything is within walking distance. There are actually four structures each with their own unique swimming pools and amenities but allow sharing for all residents. Most people are here for weeks and months but daily rentals also occur. Be sure to try the Bucerias Cafe along with El negro and dozens of other fine eateries.

Love the pool
Pros:

A pleasant place to stay. The pool was a relaxing place to spend some time in the afternoon before dinner. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Having a kitchenette was great we were able to make breakfast instead of going out everyday.
