This was a spectacular stay in Cartagena! While it is a walk to the downtown, being on the water is worth it! Excellent staff. Amazing room. Right in front of a supermarket. You can bring pool towels to the beach. I highly recommend!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 3 nights to start our trip around Colombia. It was the perfect way to begin our first visit to this beautiful country.
We treated ourselves to a Club Level room. The room was modern and immaculate, and we enjoyed use of the club for breakfast, evening appetizers and drinks, and concierge service. Natalia and Isabell took great care of us, welcoming us with smiles each time we visited and providing great recommendations. Waitstaff Teddy, Fernanda, and Ariana were great too.
Although the beach is steps away, we found the hotel’s pools to be just the retreat we needed and the warm breeze and peaceful atmosphere on the upper floors provided respite from the hot temperatures and traffic below.
We chose to walk to the city centre and Getsemaní to balance out our relaxation time, but rideshare options are plentiful and inexpensive. We enjoyed returning to our bay view (room) and ocean view (club) after our walking tours, making its location in Bocagrande a perfect fit for us. Highly recommend!
This hotel exceeded my expectations!
1. The check-in was quick.
2. I got an ocean view room and it turned out to be amazing.
3. The size of the room was big, I like extra room and don't like to feel that I'm cluttered in a room.
4. The room was modern and clean.
5. The infinity pool on floor 14 gives you the WOW factor. Go to the pools in the morning, there's less people.
6. Whenever I come back to Cartagena, this will be my place to stay.
Look at your tabs! At the cafe, I went to buy a mineral water that I grabbed from the fridge to pay. A service fee was automatically added. I feel that a service fee should not be added if a service was not provided.

The views of the ocean and bay are beautiful… you can see the sunset.,, rooms are clean and decent and bathrooms are good size.. we got the ocean view room with Hyatt Club access… paying for the club access is definitely worth it.. location of hotel is good only 15/20 mins from the airport and about 10 mins from the walled city and getsemani which is the old colonial town which is where all the action and clubs food and culture is located… we used uber daily and Ubers would be about $4-5 each way so that’s was good… hotel staff are very nice and attentive.. food at the hotel was decent… but drinks are weak..hotel have nice beautiful pools.. lots of lounge areas.. you can walk to the bank atm and mall next door and a supermarket is around the corner so that’s convenient… we also walked to two restaurants five minutes away..
Cartegena is a nice city but beware that things aren’t cheap ie food and drinks… the drinks are all overpriced and weak unless you find a non tourist restaurant the the prices are a little lower...things cost the same as in America when you do the conversion.. also the locals are annoying they will harass you and try to sell you everything so be ready to say no or ignore them..if you ask someone a question they expect a tip…also make sure you understand the money and in tourist areas the sellers will overcharge so be prepared and mindful.. when exchanging money ask for small pesos in 5 and 10 and 20 as the vendors never have change and the money exchange will give you 50 and 100 pesos so ask for small bills and at restaurants use your credit card… uber is cheaper than the local taxi… and use Viator to book excursions… I did Four excursions.. 1. Visit palenque and 2. Day trip to Rosario Island and 3. Street food tour and 4. Pub crawl which takes you to 4-6 clubs nice way to party and bar hop.

The hotel situated in Bocagrande, a 5 minute drive from the old fortified town. is surly a piece of art. We stayed for 10 days and had a real god time. The service was god, the staff friendly and helpful by all means. A special gratitude to the personell working in The Regency club were we had our free meals. The food was varied and there was always something good to find. We will surely return.
This Hyatt Hotel vacation in Cartagena is fantastic. All the Hyatt hotel employees will great you with a smile. Hyatt is the best Hotel in Cartgena.
Awesome stay with family! The 30th floor club was well worth it and the hotel was extremely clean. The location was wonderful and there are great restaurants, the beach and the walled city in walking distance. Super convenient!

La recepcionista Dina es muy grosera, son inaceptables sus palabras, es indignante su mal trato sin ninguna necesidad, prácticamente sacó a mis familiares porque no tenían el documento de identidad en la mano, a ellos les tocó irse para otro hotel, dialogue con la supervisora y ella solo me ofreció una carta de disculpas y unos cupones para unas bebidas
