Schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage an der Mainstation
Pros:

Lage, Zimmer und Ausstattung, tolle Dusche. Frühstück auch ein bisschen westlich. Achtung: Liegt an der Main Station der Metro, aber nicht HSR!

Cons:

600 NTD für‘s Parken.

Good location, playful design
Pros:

The location is good - right across the street from the Kaohsiung Station where many trains and the airport metro stop. (keep in mind though that the station is big and you have to cross a busy street first, so walking to the platforms may take you well over 5 minutes).
I liked the playful design of the room and the common areas.
I think most rooms have a nice view of the city.
Breakfast was pretty good.

Cons:

The badly stained carpet and sofa made a very bad first impression, but besides that it was a very nice room.
It is one of these confusing hotels which first invest in great blackout curtains, and then install a very bright emergency light in the middle of the ceiling so that your room is bright the whole night (in this case red). Bring your eye mask if you like sleeping in the dark.

Pros:

The room was pretty good for the price, and the bed was comfortable enough. The location is excellent, it's a very short walk from the main train station, which also provides metro access to the airport. Staff were helpful, and there's a free self-service laundry room.

Cons:

While the room was mostly clean, there were some old stains on the furniture. The bathroom walls are frosted glass so light will leak through to the room when someone is using it.
