We were going to stay 4 nights. I have a high standing at Bonboy and love the brand.
When we arrived it was a cold day in Florida. The room was freezing to the point that we brought a chocolate bar at night that was soft and in the morning it was hard just keeping it out. We tried. To heat the room and the heater didn’t work. We had an engineer come up and he said that this hotel doesn’t have heating. They send us a blanket that was thin and useless. We didn’t shower because it was very cold. Also the tv wasn’t working and the floors were dirty. We decided to leave the hotel that we had never done before. We reported this the next morning when we left and nobody called after as they promised and nothing was done. We have stayed in low budget hotels from the chain with great experience as in their high end. We asked if they had a portable heater and they did not. Unless something changes in this hotel I would not recommend it. I hate to do this review because we love the chain and had fantastic experiences.

I have stayed here numerous times over the years and am an Ambassador level BonVoy member. This will be my very last stay. I am writing this review at 1:15am because of the noise levels up and down the hall. Conducted meetings in one of the rooms that the blinds did not fully close. Both bathrooms by the lobby are trash and restricted. Took 3 requests to get pillows. 2 of the 3 elevators were out of service. Staff dragging leaking trash bags through halls and elevator. Lost a repeat traveler.

Great location, especially close to Hard Rock Stadium and Aventura Mall. The attached parking garage is very convenient. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay. The AC store is a nice touch for grabbing snacks, fruit, or drinks. The lobby is spacious and comfortable.

Nice location convenient to the Miami Open and walkable to restaurants.

The reason we will NEVER come back is because some clown with a sense of humor literally made the toilet a focal point of the room! You can't see it from the pictures but the toilet is in a small closet with only a thin glass door separating you and all your bathroom functions with whoever is in the room. The shower is similarly situated although less offensive depending on the roommate.

I'm married and stayed here with my husband and we both thought this setup was comically bad. Don't most people prefer some privacy when they use the toilet? He was in the Marines and even they provide solid doors!

I hope these hotel designers get some sense and stop designing rooms this way. I'm a Titanium member and obviously stay with Marriott often but this is DEFINITELY not it.

Find somewhere else in Aventura as we otherwise enjoyed the area.
