Pros:

My reservation at the property was the worst experience I had with Expedia for the past 10 years. I reserved this hotel on Expedia for a group of friends and upon arrival they were told that the hotel has no contract with Expedia. I called Expedia on the spot but they could resolve the problem. We ended paying from our pocket. Please don’t book this particular hotel on Expedia.

Bummed in Mbarara, and waiting on a refund
Pros:

Upon our arrival the manager cancelled our reservation and claimed that he never received our reservation from Hotels.com from a week earlier. He also claimed that he had a overbooked a conference.

The hotel was on a dirt road, was built like a small compound and had very limited parking and was in a bad, hard to find area and in poor condition.

The manager did offered to refer us to another place, The Homelinest Hotel in Mbarara, which actually turned out to be pretty good for the area.
