Beautiful view from waterfalls, great customer service. Nice and clean.
We had our wedding at Kangsadarn Resort. A beautiful location next to the waterfall. All staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great day, although most of the staff spoke no English, we were always greeted with a friendly smile. Dinner after the wedding at the restaurant was excellent! The rooms were a little tired looking however. Location next to the waterfall was lovely but rooms could definitely do with an upgrade.
Kangsadarn Resort and Waterfall is near to Panviman Resort where I visited last year with a few negative moments (March 2018/ please refer to my earlier review). With superb location, Kangsadarn is on the other side of the road facing a natural waterfall which you can hear a delightful sound of waterfall throughout an entire day. Though the resort itself was built more than 30 years ago, the room is maintained in acceptable condition, very clean and smell fresh. I was also impressed by the hotel persons and excellent services received. I definitely recommend Kangsadan and would love to visit again before the new construction starts.
To stay at Kangsadarn Resort and waterfall is one of the best experience every! The resort and the people working here is outstanding!
We can highly recommend this resort next to the lovely waterfall!
Hotel itself old but still ok for the room, staff are friendly and nice, they upgraded room for us and give extra breakfast.
พี่พักอยู่ติดกับน้ำตก ธรรมชาตืมากๆ โดยส่วนรวมดีมากครับ
Off the road, water fall , elephants coming to drink at the stream. If you love nature this is the best place to come. Only 30 minutes drive from the city. The staff is the best you can find! Timothée
มีน้ำตกในรีสอร์ท เงียบสงบ เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อน อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกน้อย
We didn't stay in the hotel, but just drove up for dinner. Our Thai friends treated eight of us to a enchanting evening of authentic Thia dishes in the most absolute lovely wilderness setting. We arrived early so we were able walk the paths down to the waterfalls before it got dark. The setting made for an excellent evening of food and fellowship. Our hosts keep ordering dishes, we never saw a menu or a bill. We hope to return next time we visit Chiang Mia.
We went to the restaurant for lunch. We arrived at the reception by car and the golf cart took us all the way down to the restaurant. From there, we had a fantastic view of the waterfall and tourists taking elephant ride. We had Tom Yum Kung, green curry with chicken and 2 veggie dishes. Very delicious. We went up to the reception area for a coffee with stunning view of the forest. It is a good stopover to the Samoeng viewpoint which is 10 minutes away on a scenic route.
We stayed one night only because the resort we planned to stay out close by doubled the price of their web site price (another story) This resort is virtually built on the side of a steep hill.An electric golf buggy takes you down from reception winding down a concrete track to your room ,that itsself is quite an expereince but the driver was careful. The room was nicely furnished but one side up against the window so you had to exit with some difficulty. The shower head pointed straight into the rest of the bathroom unless you used it as a hand held but it did have a bath which was nice.
it was spotlessly clean and the waterfall is nice. However if you are physically impaired this is not for you, many steep steps to the water fall and the restaurant. The restaurant closed at 7pm so orders in before then, that needs to be changed obviously. All Thai food nothing special The resort is badly in need of good management .the breakfast choice needs refining ,no fruit ,nothing healthy and salad covered in mayonaise is not for me with eggs and toast. Lovely air and stunning waterfall, staff were friendly but spoke no English and need some training. No wi fi due to location I guess but loads of Chinese booked in for high season. The Chinese are taking over Chiang mai ,we live here and can se it happening.
This place is a trap, the absolute one. The nice waterfall does not justify the price, a room without TV, internet, a broken DVD or a broken bathroom door ....... The bed, well I think they have no mattress.
The resort is built on the edge of the hill. Be prepared for the stairs or wait, wait, wait for the electric car to go up or down.
After 7 PM the staff is gone, only a security guy is left and of course he does not speak english.
Once inside, you have nothing to do or enjoy, just expect time will run fast so you can go out of that jail. Worst place in Thailand.
The surrounding is amazing especially the waterfall view from the room. The room has dvd and you can borrow some in the restaurant. Breakfast set was okay. The bathroom has not much warm water so you have to wait sometime when it's warm again.
We just went for lunch. Unhelpful, unfriendly staff in the restaurant. Food average and overpriced, especially when they sneak on a service and vat charge that together add 17%.
The grounds staff were nice and the location is beautiful, but the place generally felt like it had been abandoned by its owners months ago. Being your own staff.
