Short but we enjoyed Sitka.
Pros:

Close proximity to trails and downtown. Great water pressure for the shower!

Great location for everything Sitka!
Pros:

Good size room with kitchenette. Everything was clean and up to date. Our refrigerator was not working when we arrived. We notified the desk clerk and she quickly located a breaker that was tripped. Aspen hotel is within walking distance to so many attractions and stores. It was the perfect location to spend some time in Sitka before we left for our Expedition cruise. They had a shuttle that was waiting at the airport after our flight. We were so close to our meet-up spot for our cruise, we walked our luggage to it instead of using the shuttle. Lots of food available all around the hotel and there is a Safeway market close by.

Cleanliness not up to stratch!
Cons:

No instant coffee or tea bags in room.
The room was not clean - there was rubbish on carpet and the kitchen floor was sticky and needed washing.
The curtain was draping over the heater - the curtain should be shortened. This is a safety issue.
Heater was very noisy.
I was not able to check-in early.

The Aspen suites in Sitka has the kindest and caring staff I’ve ever experienced. The location is absolutely perfect, close to both activities and many restaurants. My room was impeccably, clean, check in simple, check out simple, and the transportation shuttle was as quick as could be at the airport. This will be my place to stay from now on in Sitka, Alaska.!
