Hotel Výsluní

We came for a weekend away with our dog and the experience was amazing from check in moment until we had to leave! The hotel manager was super! Nothing was a problem! He was very courteous and funny! We felt very welcome and taken care of...and the dinners were just simply delicious! Thank you for the great stay!

On arrival, we were greeted by an unfriendly welcome from whom we believed to be the hotel manager, we barely received a 'hello' and he seemed more interested in serving food to locals than to manage our check-in, this was very frustrating following many hours of travel to the location.

We were an hour prior to check-in time and so asked if there was a secure place to store our suitcases to which we received a blunt "No", despite there being a lockable cupboard under the stairs, but the worst was yet to come.

In general during our stay at the property, the hotel manager was very unfriendly and anti-social, he barely acknowledged our presence and his attitude was simply rude, generally grunting instead of responding professionally. At one stage, I could not find cutlery in the dining room and so picked up a set from a neighbouring table, this oddly deeply upset the manager whom approached me to express his annoyance. Fortunately the cleaning lady and female chef are very friendly and fun, full of smiles.

We booked this hotel on the basis that it was a 'Ski-In/Ski-Out' property, as claimed by the listing on Hotels.com, however upon arrival it became clear that this is not the case and we had to take a taxi every day to get to and from the slopes, a great inconvenience at cost to us.

The rooms are a decent size, the beds are very hard but fairly comfortable and the facilities are basic but usable. The included breakfast offers a decent selection but the coffee is terrible, bring your own instant-coffee.

The location of the hotel does require a taxi to get to the main ski-lifts, this does spoil the ski-atmosphere as it requires time and loading twice a day, a great inconvenience. I have asked Hotels.com to remove this incorrect attribute from the hotel listing.

I raised a complaint concerning this property with the Sales Manager named Zeneta and was told that "it is your fault", she was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Overall, this is an average hotel but let down deeply by an unfriendly hotel manager and a rude sales manager, worsened by the incorrect description of this being a 'Ski In/Ski Out' hotel.

Needless to say, we will not return to this hotel or the location as a ski-resort.

More of a Bus in / Bus-out would be an appropriate description. The bus stop is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and the bus was always extremely dangerous crowded and not often on time. The best option is to take a taxi which cost between 150-170 CZK one-way (should be a fixed price but different every time). The manager was not very friendly and the word serviceminded has not yet been invented in this country. It´s almost impossible to communicate in English and it´s obvious that Czech and German speaking guests got a more favorable and friendly attention. The breakfast was ok and the cleaning staff really nice, so was the cleaning service. If you want to go to Spindleruv, stay near Medvědín where you actually can get Ski in- Ski-out

Příjemný hotel v krásném prostředí. Personál ochotný, milý a profesionální. Pobyt jsme si velmi užily.

This hotel is perfect for the money! The service was good the food was good and the location is really nice. The beginner slopes are steps away and the main slopes are only 5 minutes driving.
The staff are very helpful. I have no negatives to mention.
I stayed with my 7 year old daughter over New Years and she had other children to play with and they all had a great time . I would stay again next year.

This small hotel is located approximately one kilometer from the center of the Spindleruv Mlyn. The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains. The hotel has on offer "stay package" for two nights with half board, afternoon coffee and cake, one hour whirlpool and mini-golf. Whirlpool and afternoon cake was perfect, the other food was also good. Our room was small but nicely furnished and had a nice and clean bathroom. The hotel is certainly suitable for summer holidays, because it provides good service and is a good starting point for various trips.

All the time I've felt as a part of a family. The hotel is not directly in Spindleruv Mlyn, nevertheless I do not see that as a problem. The centre is in a walking distance.
The hotel offers you simple breakfast and limited, but very tasty menu for dinner.
If you get tired after skiing or hiking, you can relax in a whirlpool or a sauna.

We have been to Hotel Vysluni " Sunlight " for Easter holidays with my family to enjoy last skiing. This hotel is type of the small family hotel and is very nice with a beautiful surroundings. The personel was very kind and helpful. Room was nice and cosy.
The breakfast was ok with a possibility of warm food.( eggs and sausages )
