Hotel Monasterio San Agustín

It felt like coming home. Very friendly staff and management. Went well out of their way to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Can’t wait to go back and see how the expansion turns out.

Wundervolles, extrem liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel in spektakulärer Lage. Die Aussicht allein von der Frühstücksterrasse ist fantastisch. Sehr idyllischer Garten. Das Frühstück ist hochwertig und abwechslungsreich. Sehr gutes Restaurant, das man auch häufig nutzt, da das Hotel gute 3km vom Ort entfernt auf einer Anhöhe liegt. Extrem geräumige Zimmer mit Kamin (Service kostet 10.000 COP extra), allerdings wären ein Schreibtisch und ein richtiger Kleiderschrank noch wünschenswert gewesen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und bemüht, allerdings teilweise noch etwas unbeholfen. Aber das stört nicht, im Gegenteil macht es auch ein bisschen den Charme des Ortes aus.

Espectacular boutique hotel, fuimos por una noche y nos quedamos 4. El paisaje, la atención, la comida, el ambiente, cerca de todo los sitios a visitar y hasta la música son excelentes.

Empfangen wurde ich sehr herzlich mit einem Getränk und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend.
Einzigartiges Frühstück, Balkon mit Hängematte, Tresor und Kamin. ..außergewöhnlich.
Mir wurde geholfen bei der Organisation von Ausflügen und Weiterreise.
Die Aussicht ist toll; einzig habe ich mir den Weg aus dem Zentrum nicht so weit vorgestellt.

A great location with a view of the Andes

Las instalaciones son hermosas, es un hotel nuevo, hecho con mucho gusto. El personal super atento, deben mejorar un poco en la distribución de los roles. La vista es preciosa, al igual que la zona, muy tranquila

We had a great experience. Clean, cozy and comfortable rooms. Hammocks and fireplace in every room. Varied and healthy breakfast. Andrea and Bernd are superb hosts, they undoubtedly offer the best lodging experience in San Agustin.

Great hotel, will definitively go it again, and again...

Hotel Monasterio was built four years ago saving the chapel and creating the hotel including it. We were greeted warmly and given fresh jugo de pina and/or delicious coffee. Our room was lovely w/ small patio and hammock outside and with a beautiful view of the peaceful green valley. Gardens surrounded us wherever we walked. Hotel is impeccably decorated in period furniture. Breakfast was served overlooking the garden. Outstanding staff and dinners were served in restaurant upstairs. Postre Salami was a real treat.
Not far from the unique Archeological Museum .

We stayed here four nights in February. This is a beautiful, superbly well run hotel. Rooms are large and well appointed. The grounds are gorgeous. It has a wonderful view of the mountains off in the distance. The staff is friendly, well trained and are anxious to meet your every need. The hotel arranged tour guides for us twice and the guides were excellent. They serve a huge breakfast that includes fresh fruit, breads, pastries and eggs cooked however you want them. Just a terrific place to stay.

By far the best hotel in San Agustin. Very nice and romantic setting, view on the surrounding hills, calm, nice restaurant and food. While the rest of San Agustin is still a little backpacker style, the Monasterio is a genuine luxury boutique hotel. Of course much more expensive than the other hotels but fully deserved

Very comfortable place to stay. The staff was very helpful, the restaurant very nice, but the mosteba wonderful things g was how peaceful the setting. They do need to make one improvement, the WiFi is only reliable in the lobby, spotty in the room and restaurant.
