Pros:

The included breakfast was good, but would benefit from some additional hot items.

The staff were all fantastic! Courteous, prompt, helpful, etc.

Cons:

The room was good.....quite small, but good. Because of the small size, there was not even a small side table to eat at. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were all very soft, which reduced the overall comfort. The shower was excellent.

Nice central location, with a quiet and comfy room.
Pros:

First lass breakfast choices. Busy location but not noisy. Staff very polite and helpful.

Cons:

Nowhere to put my suitcase. Had to get out of bed to turn off the light. Towels as far away from the shower and basin as they could be.

Pros:

Great location in the center of Reykjavik. Amazing breakfast. Clean and well appointed, helpful staff.

Cons:

We had our windows open (the weather was unusually warm while we were there) and the sound and noise of night life was a little loud at night.

A great place for a stay in Reykjavik.
Pros:

Love This Place!
Pros:

I’ve been to Iceland several times now and the past few I’ve stayed at the Sand Hotel. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are great, and the breakfast is the best!!! Great location too. Definitely will be back!

Lovely hotel in the centre of Reykjavik
Pros:

Great location with easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants which is perfect when the weather is not so good. Shame the hotel bar is not cosy enough to entice visitors to spend time relaxing in the evenings.

Other than breakfast, everything was great.

Cons:

Breakfast was definitely not superb… no coffee machine, Only filter coffee available for free. Have to pay if I want to have coffee like latte/ cappuccino. Very simple and basic spread. Maybe our other stays brought up our expectations too much on the breakfast…

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Reykjavik
Pros:

If you want a lovely hotel right in the middle of Reykjavik then look no further. The rooms are lovely and I’ve go to say the bed was super comfy. The continental breakfast was really good, especially the breads that are made by the bakery next door. The staff are all super friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. We’re definitely thinking of coming back to Iceland and to be honest I think we’ll absolutely book here again. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
