Important information:

A valid photo ID and a credit or Visa debit card are required upon check-in. The name on the ID and the card must match the guest's name on the booking information.
We will make a copy of the ID and place a $100 pre-authorization hold on the card for security purposes.
Guests who do not have the required bank card must provide a cash damage deposit of NZD 200, which will be refunded after a property inspection when checking out.

Everything we needed
Pros:

My partner and I stayed for one night and really enjoyed our time here. The hotel is inside the old central railway station building, which gives it a lot of character. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with everything we needed for a short stay.

Danesh at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful, and he assisted us with organising parking for our rental car right out the front of the building, which made things very easy. The hotel is close to the CBD, We’d happily stay here again.

Cons:

There’s a train line that runs beside the building, and trains passed by occasionally. They were slow and stopped in the evening before we went to bed, then started again around 5:30am. It didn’t bother us, but light sleepers might notice it.

Novel setup in the old train station, very clean and well setup rooms. Close to downtown, train station and Viaduct waterfront area
