Wonderful to see this historic building being cared for. Decor and details could be improved.
Pros:

Wonderful historic building frontage - so good to see this iconic building being utilised. It's also right next door to Spark Arena, which was our purpose for travelling, and there are many lovely bars and restaurants within short walking distance.

Cons:

Very little has been done to make it welcoming or comfortable. It is all very utilitarian and plain.

Disappointing.
Pros:

Interesting history to the building and a great ensuite bathroom.

Cons:

It felt like going back to University halls of residence…… because it was….. over a decade ago. Despite the fancy name and a lovely foyer entrance (which you can see for free)…. The rest is sporting a “run down institutional” feel and clearly mostly low rent long term appartments…. The elevator felt like it may give up at any moment and the electricals looked sketchy.

Great location, very clean
Pros:

Excellent location for event at the arena next door. Only a 15 minute walk to downtown for shopping. Only a 5 minute walk to big supermarket.

Really nice staff, very clean room (Room 120) with good shower and comfy bed. A fair price for what it was ($138p/n). Parking right outside front door all night for only $15, much cheaper than public parking.

Cool historical building with many of the old features still in place.

Loved it, would definitely stay again.

Cons:

Liked it all.

Fun stay for the family
Pros:

The location meant we were within walking distance of much of the city centre. We loved exploring some of the building's character.

Cons:

We were fine but be mindful that the old building, the restaurant and the communal kitchens all lend to distinct aromas in the communal parts.
