Very good hotel, I would use it again.
Pros:

Hotel was clean, in a quiet place, very well equipped.

Cons:

Hotel was a little bit far from train station which was uncomfortable in the rain

Would stay again. There are not a lot of accommodation options close to the JR in Matsue that are in a similar price gr
Pros:

Close to transport Clean. Friendly staff but as expected not a lot of other than Japanese spoken. Interesting breakfast arrangement served in the reception area which made for a social interaction with loads of guests, mainly Asian .

Cons:

Paper thin very small towels. Typically found in low budget Japanese chain hotels. A small inconvenience though. No pun intended.

Exactly what you expect from a Toyoko Inn
Pros:

Very consistent quality from a Toyoko Inn hotel. You know exactly what to expect. Right next to Matsue station and a short bus ride from the Ichibata Shinjiko Onsense station.
